Ora - almost everybody who's close to her calls her this, and it's almost preferred to her real name. It's just an abbreviation of her name.
Orca - because Ora + 'c' = Orca, like the whale. Her love interest gave her this nickname.

Background:
Yeora's family has always been strict on her. They've trained her to be poise, perfect and articulate. She's been taught to follow the customs of the kingdom. She's been taught to only speak when necessary. Eventually she got out more and started to realise that she could be more carefree, that she didn't have to be a perfect, cold-faced princess. She still is very quiet, but has learned to open up more and be a little rebellious. Her entire kingdom is very quiet, reserved place, filled with restrictions and rules that her parents, the current rulers, have inflicted on it.
Yeora plans to change all that once she's the ruler of the kingdom, but her parents have grown to dislike her more and more ever since she's started to disobey them and may even decide to pass the throne onto her younger sister instead, although she's the one next in line and it should ideally be her. So much for following customs.
Her parents have a terrible relationship and the only thing they agree on is that Yeora is being a bad daughter and heir to the throne.
Yeora's favourite place is the roof, because when she first went up there, she noticed how beautiful the stars looked. She found an old telescope in the castle's inventory, and has placed it on the roof with a small carpet for her to lay on since nobody ever comes to the roof.

Yeora is from the dark side.


Personality:

- quiet;
Yeora's been taught to speak as less as possible from a young age. Even though she has learnt to be less quiet, it's almost as though it's embedded into her nature. She rarely speaks, unless it's around her friends or somebody she trusts.

- awkward;
Being quiet and awkward comes hand in hand. At least for Yeora, it does. When spoken to she stutters and almost never knows what to say. She ends up making weird hang gestures and just mumbling something.

- secretive;
Yeora's family has ended up making her secretive more than anything. She's an excellent liar and can get out of any situation. She can be manipulative if she wants to and can mould anybody's opinion.

- compassionate;
Yeora looks out for everybody around her, especially friends she's close to because they're the only thing keeping her from being locked into the person her family wants her to be. She often forgets her own mental health in the process and just wants to make sure everybody she cares about is okay.

- hesitant;
Yeora almost always thinks twice before doing anything and always, always remembers to keep the consequences of her actions in the back of her mind, especially because she has so many string attached to her.

Yeora may be quiet, but that makes her listen to other people better. She remembers conversations and events really clearly which is often a useful quality

How You Meet:
The two of them met one another at a meeting of the rulers Night Kingdoms. Since Chan is next in line, they brought him along. Chan being the nice guy (WOW reference incoming yeet) he is, approached Yeora who seemed very distant from everybody. She wasn't talking to any of the guests and sat in one corner reading. Chan
startled her as he said "hello". He found her awkward responses to his questions cute and he found her intriguing.

Relationship Type:
Chan and Yeora have a relationship where they're so comfortable with each other, they're like best friends.
They start out as really close friends, with one swinging their arm around the other's shoulder, not really thinking about it, the other locking their arm across the other's waist, not thinking much of it either.
Eventually, other people start to point out how perfect they'd be together and they can't help but think about what it would be like to be with them. Yeora and Chan start to develop feelings for each other, and those meaningless hugs and cuddles start to mean a lot.




Do Your Parents Approve? Why?:
Yeora's parents do approve because he's from the Night Kingdoms and he's a prince, what more could they want? Besides, she's at the age a princess should be married at anyway.

Do You Want the Throne at the End? Why?:
At first, Yeora wanted to run away from the throne as much as possible. Why? Because pissing off her parents was almost fun. Eventually, though, she realised she needed to take some responsibility and if she did rule, she'd have the power to turn around the dark and gloomy kingdom to a much happier place.
