  1. The first three games in the series (Minority Report, THAW, Harry Potter 2) were played at will.
  2.
  3. I ranked the remaining 30 games from my collection most to least nostalgic (there are more than these 33 games in my old collection, but I had played the excluded ones in some form too recently).
  4.
  5. I cut the list into 5 groups of 6 which could be distinguished by ascending nostalgia. Group 1’s games I had close to no nostalgia, Group 2 I had a little, Group 3 I had a good amount, Group 4 I had a lot, Group 5 was max nostalgia.
  6.
  7. I then created 6 “blocks” of 5 games each to play these games in, created by randomly selecting a game from Group 1, then Group 2, then Group 3, then Group 4, then Group 5. I would beat these five games in this order back-to-back, then take a break, then move onto the next block, with each block ascending in nostalgia.
  8.
  9. The rationale was to create a roadmap where I always had something to look forward to, and to play both games I was looking forward to and games I was not hugely interested in at regular intervals.
