Our Expectations

Our expectations from every staff (Both In-Game & Forums):

Be respectful of every player, each and every one is valuable to RebirthCraft.
Maintain activity throughout forums & server, if needing to leave, please give a notice prior to leaving.
Be fair to every player, do not put others off of punishments just because they are your friends. Don’t favor anyone.
Deal with in-game & forum issues without complaints, all staff are expected to fulfil their individual roles when needed.
Do not abuse powers in any form. This will be taken very seriously.
Keep onto some level of maturity, even in staff chat. If someone is talking about something serious, server-related. Reply in a serious way.
Do not bug others. If offering to help, and someone doesn’t want it, just leave them until they ask themselves.
Respect your fellow staff. If you have an issue with another staff member, speak to one of the Admins, or Gold himself.
There are channels for certain things on slack:
Announcements is for the obvious. It’s for the Admin team to announce things to the other staff.
Important-Documents is for documents only.
General is for RebirthCraft related matters only.
Offtopic. For everything else.
That you actually fulfill your role as staff. This means actually punishing players violating rules and helping those in need of it. This means don’t go building things and ignore players.


Punishments

Staff is a privilege and a duty, it is not to be abused and can be taken away at any time if we deem you unsuitable for the position. Any violation of the rules or expectations will be met according to the offense. Make sure to adhere to them as strictly as possible. If you need to step outside of them for any reason, contact one of them Admins staff and explain the situation to them. Always plan ahead, and assume that if a rule is broken, that you will receive the harshest punishment possible, even if that is not the case.

Should we choose to demote you, note that it is completely within our power to do so. We do not have to have and/or provide a reason for your demotion. Please take all duties responsibly to avoid any dispute. We’d love to keep you around.

Roles

Everything listed below is inherited to higher ranks aside from required playtime.

Helper
A minimum of 10 hours per week in game.
Helping players and conveying issues to higher staff.
Keeping the playerbase informed on certain issues.
Delivering minor-moderate punishments on those who violate the rules accordingly.
Must have proof to ban hackers.
Don’t focus on afk pools, don’t go looking for them.
Things said in Slack/ts are to stay in slack or ts.
Helpers and all staff are to leave the Youtubers alone. Aggravating them will be instant demotion
Accepting being staff, means you’re now present to do a job, not play around. This means you’re to be helping players and not messing around.
This is not a popularity contest, again you’re here to do a job. +
The Tabby chat mod will benefit you. It sends pms of players to tabs so you don’t miss any player questions.
If you have problems with another staff member, speak to Gold about it. don’t go calling people out in public and making a drama hassle about it there.
If a thread looks like it might need attention of a higher up staff member, leave it alone and point it out.
If something is not clear, inform any of the admins. Asking questions is okay, but do check this to make sure it’s not here, before asking about it.

Moderator
A minimum of 10 hours per week in game.
Dealing with immediate issues and issues within your control.
Delivering moderate-severe punishments on those who violate the rules accordingly.
Must have proof to ban hackers.

Administrator
A minimum of 12 hours per week in game.
Dealing with issues that require more power and more careful consideration.
Modifying and managing the server situationally.

Manager
Dealing with the most pressing issues more often in relation to the overall server.
Addressing the concerns and needs of the staff team.
Organizing and directing the staff team to whatever needs resolving.
Managing the state of the server.

Developer
Creating useful plugins for the server.
Updating and improving plugins that the server uses.
Bug fixing and troubleshooting.

Builder
Creating interesting builds as per request of the server.
Fixing any issues with the builds the server already uses.
Updating current and old builds to be more appealing as necessary.
Updating builds situationally according to the desires of the server. (Holidays)



Rules

Don’t intrude on YouTubers trying to record just because you can get onto their island/plot/faction base, whatever. Stay away from the Youtubers that come onto RebirthCraft. They will only speak to the owner, or someone who can help them better if they do in fact need something. Your job during the time a Youtuber is on, is to semi control the chat, do NOT bother the Youtuber whatsoever in any shape or form. If they speak to you first, then answer them, then leave them alone.
Bothering the Youtuber is instant demotion. They can see you in vanish mode, leave, them, alone. There are no exceptions, no excuses, no nothing.
No spawning items for normal players except for specific circumstances.
Staff are not normal players, it’s fine to spawn stuff in for yourself or other staff, but please don’t brag about it or show off. Generally, don’t build your house out of diamond blocks just because you can.
Specific circumstances can include, but are not limited to; Fixing buycraft errors and fixing server errors.

Do not argue with other staff members.
 If you have any complaints, go directly to someone from the Admin Team. If you have a problem with someone, speak to them directly to sort it out.

No PvPing under abusive circumstances.
Including, but not limited to; Fly, god mode, spawned items, etc.
You generally don’t need to PvP someone to determine if they’re a hacker.

No disrespecting fellow staff.
If you have a concern about a staff member, bring it up in private with Gold or AlphaVoids. Do not do anything in public.

Don’t false ban.
It’s not hard to find out if you’re banning people because you disagree with them or don’t like them.
If you’re unsure about whether or not somebody is violating a rule (hacking, advertising, etc.), take a screenshot or video and get a second opinion from another staff member.

Be respectful to players.
Don’t like a certain player? That’s fine, but keep it to yourself.
It’s fine to talk about players in staff chat, but if you’re speaking negatively about them, keep it in staff chat. Don’t share anyone else's opinions either.
Try to avoid arguments with players in game. If needed, please tell them to post on the forums.

Don’t reveal the personal information of others.
This includes the information of staff and players.
If someone gave you their personal information, it’s likely because they trusted you not to share it. Don’t give out any information that isn’t yours.

No abusing privileges.
Including, but not limited to; Destroying player’s plots without valid reason, griefing of any nature, things listed in other rules, etc.
If it’s something you probably shouldn’t be doing that you can do because you have staff permissions, you probably shouldn’t do it. So ask first.

Server Rules

|| Chat Based Rules ||

Optional reference for staff:
General Offense: Player is warned in chat
General Offense: Player is muted for 15 minutes, then for 1 hour for every chat offense after (on the same day/time frame)
Recurring Offense: Player is muted for 1-2 days at a time, possible administrative action


☉ Discrimination, Threats, Harassment, Offensive Content ☉
There will be no tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia - this often will result in an automatic mute without warning. This also includes sexual harassment, threatening to harm or take the life of a player/their family, or language that is excessive or will cause discomfort to others, even if you’re “just joking”. Inappropriate/”screamer” links will also not be tolerated.


☉DDoS threats ☉
Distributed Denial of Service attacks and Dox attacks are taken very seriously and result in a permanent ban without chance to appeal. Joking about this matter is never funny and is usually meant to scare people, this is not and never will be tolerated on this server.


☉ Staff & Player Disrespect ☉
Disrespecting other players in general is not permitted. This certainly includes staff members - harassing them over their decision to mute/ban a player, about their inability to fix/do something with the server, or intentionally giving them trouble is not allowed. This includes staff impersonation and asking staff for money/items.


☉ Riots ☉
Attempting to start a riot, mass protest, or overall anarchy among the community is not permitted. Recurring offenses WILL result in administrative action.

☉ Nicknames ☉

All donors must have nicknames that pertain to their username.
First offence is a warning and their nickname changed if you can. Also warn in pm or public of the rule.
Second offence is a warning and nickname changed.
Third offence is nick perms removed.
Instant removal: Impersonating a Youtuber or staff.


☉ Advertising ☉

Posting the ips for other servers is insta-mute worthy and can result in a ban. Mentioning the names of other servers (“Come get on Badlion with me”) is punishable by warning and nothing more unless it becomes excessive.



☉ Bypassing ☉
Attempting to bypass anything filtered or to evade a mute via helpOP will result in a mute, longer mute, or a kick.
Three offences come as warnings, then tempmutes for bypassing the filter.

☉ Hackusations ☉
Accusing other players of hacking in the chat is not permitted. If you believe someone to be hacking, record it and upload it to the proper section of the forums.
First three offences are warnings.
More offences are temp mutes of 30 mins and it goes on from there.

☉ Spam ☉
Spamming one message/word repeatedly or speaking in all caps is considered spam and will be handled accordingly. This includes character spam such as spamming random letters to grab attention or creating breaks in the chat to draw attention to advertisements.
First Offense: 15 minute tempmute
Second Offense: 30 minute tempmute
Third Offense: Multiple hours depending on messages they are sending

|| Server Based Rules ||

☉ Unfair Modifications & Hacked Clients ☉
Xray texture packs, hacked clients, and other such things are not permitted. If you have a question about a mod, ask a staff member or ask in the help board - getting caught with something and claiming that you didn’t know it wasn’t allowed is not an excuse!
Allowed mods: Optifine, damage indicators, armor/effects HUD

First Offense: Permanent ban without the option to appeal

☉ Island Traps/ Spawn killing/Tp killing ☉
Don't tp people to your island with either a sign, tpaccept. Or into the pvp arena and then kill them.

First offence: 3 day temp ban.
Second offence: 7 day temp ban.
Third offence: 2 month ban, no appeals.
Any further offence will be a perm ban.


☉ Sharing Personal Information ☉
Sharing personal information about a person is not allowed. This includes linking pictures of them, links to their social media accounts, specific location information, etc that they do not want publicly known.

First Offense: 7 day ban
Second Offense: 14 day ban
Third Offense: Permanent without the option to appeal


☉ Abusing Bugs/Glitches ☉
If instead of reporting a glitch/bug to us you use it for your own advantage - commonly, the issue is duplicating items. Keep in mind that items are logged, and if we find someone has been abusing a glitch, all illegally obtained items will be taken and a ban will be issued.

First Offense: Permanent with appeal
Second Offense: Permanent without appeal

☉ Greifing ☉
Greifing is not allowed. Doing so will result in a ban.

First Offense: 7 day ban
Second Offense: 14 day ban
Third Offense: Permanent without the option to appeal

☉ Scamming ☉
Scamming is not allowed.
First warning is a 3 day tempban, than 7 days, third offence is perm ban.

☉ DDoS/DOX Attacks ☉
Any threats or execution of DDoS or Dox attacks will result in a ban.

Second Offense: Permanent without the option to appeal

☉ Admitting or joking about hacking ☉
The staff of RebirthCraft have no tolerance for those admitting to hacks, or even joking about hacking.
First offence: Seven day temp ban.
Second offence: 2 month ban.
Third offence: Perm ban.

Forums Information
As staff you have several forum duties as well as in-game duties
You are expected to:
Stop flame wars and arguments
Answer player’s questions, suggestions, and complaints
Resolve ban reports
Only be on forums if you’re 100% or so fluent in English, it always needs to look professional at all times. If you can’t, that’s okay, stay in game instead.

To do this you have several tools to assist you:

Locking Threads
This stops any other players except from staff to further reply to this thread
Moving Threads
If a player puts a thread in the wrong section, or you are solving a ban report, you may move thread, but be sure to never leave a redirect and never notify the player or author
You have several thread tools, however you will probably not use most of the others

Warning
You may forum warn a player, however it is not very common and only do this if things really get out of control


Ban Reports
All staff have permission to accept or deny Ban Reports. Please make sure that you deal the appropriate punishment and then comment on the thread with ‘Accepted’ or ‘Denied’ and list the punishment if applicable. If you deny the report make sure to provide a reason for denying the report. Make sure to deny a Ban Report if:

They don’t follow the format
It’s ok if they don’t follow it exactly, but if it’s not possible to solve the situation because of the lack of information, go ahead and deny it

They don’t show the entire chat
Sometimes a player doesn’t show the entire chat and earlier in the chat things were said that changes the situation

They don’t prove they aren’t using metro on hacker reports
The player must log out of the server after they catch someone hacking

Staff Applications
Helpers may not deny staff applications.
Moderators may deny Staff Applications if the applicant clearly did not put effort into their application
Administrators may deny Staff Applications regardless of reason
