  7. Greetings,
  8. I just purchased your ROM Manager and only some of the options on it work, like attempting to flash recovery or other such. Nearly every item says I need to install ClockWorkRecovery Mod and when I hit install it says "an error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands." Please advise. The program starts out saying I need to root my phone yet the sprecovery menu will not recognize any ROMS loaded on the SD card in root directory that have been aptly named to update.zip. Thanks.

  32. Thank you for the response, however, not being a complete noob where technology is concerned I get a similar message when trying to "manually install superuser as an update.zip file from the root directory of the sd card as instructed. As the install attempts it first says no such path exists and then aborts the install. This does this on an attempted install of any update.zip file as though I have no authority to do so. Please advise with something other than a standard reply I have already read a hundred times in response to other identical complaints. Thank you...NJT

  56. Make sure it is named update.zip and not update.zip.zip. Windows hides file extensions. Also, make sure it is actually there on the sdcard.

  137. Your issues are outside of the scope of rom manager. Your phone apparently cant flash zips. I am not a support line for general phone and root issues. And if your root isn't properly working, I can't help your Rom manager problems.

  158. You sir, with all due respect, may be a software developer yet your customer service skills leave much to be desired. Apparently formal education does not teach that. First you ignore my first two emails, then you respond with the same two automotron ticker tape useless responses you give to everyone who posted the same problems on the internet over and over again. Then when you cannot figure out a better solution you vent your frustration at me. No one ever said you are a "support line for general phone issues." Your product allegedly offers certain services and abilities for a price. Multiple people including me have discovered there is something wrong with your product, not our phones. It does not even properly install the CMR it claims is part of the program and required to operate correctly. This despite the fact that CMR appears in ROM manager and my phone thinks it is there until I actually try to use it. All your instructions to modify or correct this are haphazard to say the least and incorrectly assume that we are all software developers. Thus stupid instructions like, "Manually install superuser." or "Enter the su command" in the manual install of superuser. HUH? All I got was Permission Denied. (Good thing I was smart enough to figure it all out on my own. ) Or my favorite, "make sure the file is not update.zip.zip. Really? Anyone that stupid should not be performing any of these tasks on their phone. Those of you who choose to make a living selling things to people should know this: There are a few choice things you should never say to a customer. One Is I don't know. Two is "I can't help you." This has been a most unpleasant experience to say the least and I suggest you go back to school and take Marketing classes. Perhaps they can teach you some people skills.

  187. Pretty ironic that you say I need people skills, when every response that I gave you to try to diagnose your problem was met with a snarky response. Rather than helping me try to determine the state of your phone and diagnose what was wrong, you assumed that my boilerplate questions were me assuming you were an idiot. Incidentally, those boilerplate questions fix 90% of issues.
  188.
  189. Honestly, you should be happy you got any response at all last night; I was out for dinner emailing you from my phone trying to help you out to get your problem worked out; because I know broken phone issues can be frustrating. I could have just as easily ignored it until later. Most devs don't respond at all.
  190.
  191. Regardless, your mentality of the customer always being right flies out the window when I don't want you to be my customer. You're not worth the trouble or the lack of mutual respect.
