Personality: Good natured, while able to talk alot she doesn't reveal much about herself. Will usually demand some form of compensation from strangers for.her non-Grimm efforts. Defender of her friends and anyone who looks good in heels. Will try to flirt with any woman or end up being useless. Doesn't mind stealing or killing and usually does it if she can, as evidence when she tries to steal someone's ammo during Initiation. Sometimes uses her fake badge to get free things as she doesn't believe in cops or Hunters.  Isn't afraid to start fights in public since she can always win or escape.

Doesn't believe in the Hunter system due to her dad and Gypsum's demise, so its rare for other Hunters to gain her respect.

Quirks: She's so used to Vacuo weather that she complains that some clothes feel restrictive to her while everywhere else. So she does show more skin, but most of that is for her comfort and not for sexual purposes. Ironically, she can't actually dress sexy if she tried.

She refuses to wear her ankh necklace as a necklace, as it wasnt given to her, she took it. so it will be located literally everywhere else but her neck.

If she really likes you she will make a flower crown for you.

Nephthys's weapon was an axe, so she combined an axe with a spear to wield a halberd.

Names her Semblance after Aster, Nephthys' pet bird, who sacrificed himself to save her from Grimm.

The zinnia pins are a reminder of Steven's flower shop. It's also her favorite flower, and thus it's why she took it as her new name.

Her weapon name "Cluster Amaryllis" comes from Steven's favorite flower, a red amaryllis.

Backstory:

Isis is born of a human mother and a Faunus father and yet knew neither. Her mother died during childbirth so Isis never got to know her. Her older sister, Nephthys helped raise her alongside the rest of Gypsum. After getting accepted to their village defense squad, the Eye of Horus, Nephthys began to train Isis to use weapons when she was only 10.

2 years later, bandits snuck into the village and attacked, although most of the damage was prevented by Nephthys and her pet bird Aster. However as the bandits were retreating, they caught a mysterious second wind and returned fighting harder. This amount of fighting eventually dragged in a few Grimm, namely a serpent, a bipedal dog, and huge hawk which started leveling the village. Nephthys secures her sister and  hides her away along with Horus.

Isis wakes up to Gypsum destroyed. No survivors except her and Aster. She manages to find a bandit's spear and her sister's butterfly ankh. She wanders around villages for the next 3 years, feeling all alone and out of place. Also doesnt help she was constantly stealing food and clothes. She gets stronger by surviving the sands of Vacuo on her own in addition to her sister's training. During a sandstorm she was attacked by a few Grimm led by the Dog Grimm that attacked Gypsum. She flies into a rage and attacks them, but gets slapped around and loses her spear. Aster sacrifices himself to save her. The death shocked her enough to awaken her Semblance, which she uses to ride the sandstorm away from the Grimm.

She lands directly on Steven Stone's doorstep. Literally. He is a retired Professor from Shade Academy and just runs a flower and jewelry shop. She gets depressed, finally realizing she is the last survivor and doesn't try to activate her Aura to heal. for a whole month and a half she would pass out from not eating or from the pain. Eventually her condition gets even worse and she almost suffocates on her own blood. Steven manages to save her and reason with her by revealing his plan - He is forming a secret society of Hunters to put an end to the rampant vandalism and bandits that plague Vacuo, and she will need to get her license to be able to join. She abandons her old name, believing that she "Isis" died long before she arrived at Steven's house. She chooses Zinnia Valencia, picked after her favorite flower in his shop and a girl she had a crush on. Steven trained her in being able to maintain her Aura and weapon training for the remaining 2 years
