  1. Salam. What are the financial rulings between father and daughter? Am I as the daughter obligated to share my income with my parents while under their care? Am I recommended? If our bank accounts are joint to make transactions easier, is it wrong for me to ask my dad to maintain my own separate account for better budgeting? Or am I being too independent for a "child" (islamically a child) under care?
  2. If my dad tells me to get paid for a service I want to do for free, must I obey?
  3. Currently, I contribute because of family debt, etc., but he is definitely the primary breadwinner. If I disobey, he will probably say that he is the one who has to pay the bills and that I'm being irrational because it hurts him financially due to debt. But I don't want to get paid, I'm doing this help for the sake of Allah. But I also don't want to disobey my father.
  4. What are your recommendations?
  5. Jazakallah khair.
