  1. RE: Crit/Vers
  2.
  3. I really don't like talking about stat weights since they're a bad way to evaluate upgrades but it's come up a lot since 8.2 so here's the quick rundown for "Why are crit vers my highest stats now???" and no it obviously won't be the same for everyone.
  4.
  5. 1) 8.2 added essences and buffed flat damage trinkets (e.g. Harbinger, Leviathen's Lure) which now comprise a fairly large portion of our damage. Essences like Crucible and Iris major only scale off 3 things; neck level, crit, and vers. Flat damage trinkets scale off crit, vers, and haste via increased proc rate. As a direct result crit and vers gain some value if you're using these essences and/or trinkets. The obvious loser here is mastery as it scales none of these.
  6.
  7. 2) With the exception of Iris and Purification Protocol most of the essences and trinkets are single target effects so as you increase target number mastery again becomes a good stat. Additionally essences that mostly add to our own spells like CLF, VoP, Lucid won't incur these odd stat swaps.
  8.
  9. 3) As always you can basically stick to top gear on raidbots for gear choices even if it starts recommending heavy crit/vers setups. While this raid is largely single target, warlocks are still quite strong on cleave so multi-target gear choices are always something to keep an eye on.
  10.
  11. 4) Stat weights still suck, here's why: https://medium.com/raidbots/beware-of-stat-weights-240769a5323e it's long but it does a very good job of explaining why we stopped using stat weights forever ago.RE: Crit/Vers
