  7. [21:34] <rlirwin91> I am just really confused on where you guys are. I haven't gotten a lot of details about it. every time I ask a question it doesn't get answered. he is very hard to follow some times

  9. 01[21:35] <katsudon> tran is in charge of ID, i'm one of the admins in the group
  10. 01[21:35] <katsudon> i'm in charge of romance,school, comedy, slice of life stuff
  11. 01[21:37] <katsudon> now, i do know that we're in the process of doing a few chapters already
  12. 01[21:37] <katsudon> the first raw volume that we have is really bad quality. so we're in the process of getting better raws.
  13. [21:37] <rlirwin91> here is what i already know that i remember, he said you guys have translated up to 23, working on 24. and yes, he said they finished volume 20

  17. 01[21:39] <katsudon> it's in quality control. and i was under the assumtion that the first chapter, will be out tonight

  20. [21:39] <rlirwin91> i just am trying to figure out how this is going to work. and o ok. he made it sound like he was completely done.

  33. 01[21:43] <katsudon> i know for sure that 'at least' 4 chapters are cleaned
  34. 01[21:44] <katsudon> are you typesetting or cleaning?
  35. [21:44] <rlirwin91> And I was sorta release them on manga fox. Just a quick release, bad quality, etc. And tran said to come over here and help you guys out with it but I would not be much help at this point and he never actually answered why he wanted us here

  37. 01[21:46] <katsudon> i guess he wants us to join foces and release them in better quality
  38. 01[21:47] <katsudon> at this point, i'm looking at the chart.
  39. [21:48] <rlirwin91> yes, that is what he said but I was just translating and by the sound of it, you guys don't need a translater since they are translated to volume 23 and you guys are on 20
  40. 01[21:48] <katsudon> we have a spreadsheet to keep up with all the projects

  43. [21:50] <rlirwin91> and I do not have the software to clean so yea.
  44. 01[21:50] <katsudon> we have to start at 20 because that's where the last team left off at

  46. 01[21:51] <katsudon> so if possible, if you're a translator. i think he wants you to translate for us and possibly do more other korean projects
  47. 01[21:51] <katsudon> and we'll assign other people to do other things or if you have a team of people we can join forces
  48. 01[21:53] <katsudon> if you're a translator, you don't usually have to load any software for typesetting, you'll be too busy translating things.... i'm in the middle of several TL right now T.T
  49. 01[21:54] <katsudon> tran is also in the usa, except he's a night owls, while i'm on EST
  50. 01[21:55] <katsudon> tran also wants to do more Korean projects as there are a lot of rare gems that goes untranslated
  51. [21:56] <rlirwin91> but he told me his translator was a huge fan of Id so she has gotten to volume 23 and working on volume 24 as we speak and i just do not really have the time to translate a bunch of things. that's why I was questioning if I should apply
  52. 01[21:58] <katsudon> that is true, if you do not have time to translate a bunch of things. maybe he just want some help here and there, the problem is. if a person just work on one project.... they can burn out easily
  53. 01[21:58] <katsudon> i remmeber when i first started, i work on 'lovely complex' and that's it... i got burned out.. and i quit for 2-3 years
  54. 01[21:58] <katsudon> now i feel more alive with 6-7 diffferent projects...
  55. 01[21:59] <katsudon> so even if she is a big fan (i've never met her before)... you can help out with some TL's
  56. 01[21:59] <katsudon> would you be interested in part-time even?
  57. 01[22:00] <katsudon> well, at least look at the release when it comes out and you can decide. no pressure
  58. [22:02] <rlirwin91> maybe. I would have to think about it. I was working with this guy called pen trumps sword, I actually thought he was just trying to talk to me because I accepted something from him but nothing came up. and yes, I know I can get burned out because I was but Id was taking all the free time I had to give it.

  60. 01[22:04] <katsudon> cool, that's fine. so pen trumps sword is the one who's cleaning the raws/editing/ and releasing it?
  61. 01[22:06] <katsudon> that's how i started a long long time ago with lovely complex... just a fan and i met a guy and a girl all from different places. and we started to scanlate lovely complex. the girl was the only one with photoshop who can clean, while the guy does editing
  62. [22:06] <rlirwin91> sorta, no offence to him but he really wasn't doing much cleaning. he is a pretty good typesetter though
  63. 01[22:07] <katsudon> well, it hard to do everything with just 2 people
  64. 01[22:07] <katsudon> so if you two want, we'll have you TL a few chapters here and there, no deadlines, light load, and he can do TS for us. all the cleaning and redrawing will be done by different people in our team
  65. 01[22:09] <katsudon> i haven't seen his TS, so i can't judge, but we have a few master TS that can look at his work.
  66. 01[22:11] <katsudon> so think it over.
  67. 01[22:11] <katsudon> i'll let him know our converstation
