  1. Raw takes place tonight from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan and will feature the fallout from Money in the Bank.
  2.
  3. Alexa Bliss won the women’s ladder match and successfully cashed in her contract to once again become Raw Women’s Champion. This sets up potential feuds with both the former champion Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey, who lost out on her first title opportunity. Rousey had Jax in an armbar when Bliss attacked both with her briefcase.
  4.
  5. Braun Strowman won the men’s ladder match and has already called out Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Roman Reigns picked up a win over Jinder Mahal and likely has his eyes set on Lesnar as well. Seth Rollins retained his Intercontinental title, winning with a roll-up while holding the tights, which could result in a second chance for Elias.
  6.
  7. WWE will begin the build to Extreme Rules tonight, which is taking place on July 15 and will be the final pay-per-view before SummerSlam.
  8.
  9. Show Recap --
  10.
  11. There was a recap of the Women’s title match and the subsequent cash-in by Alexa Bliss.
  12.
  13. Kurt Angle was in the ring to start the show. There was a table set up with the MITB briefcase and Women’s title belt. Angle was happy that Raw gained both contracts then brought out Bliss. Angle said that Bliss demanded this presentation, then nonchalantly handed her the belt.
  14.
  15. Angle announced that Nia Jax wasn’t there, but she was getting her automatic rematch at Extreme Rules. Bliss was annoyed that Angle was already moving on to next month and wanted to celebrate. She bragged about winning the title and called herself a 3-time champion.
  16.
  17. Ronda Rousey stormed to the ring but was stopped by Angle before she could go after Bliss. The crowd chanted “let them fight.” Bliss bragged about the welts she gave Rousey with the briefcase, then informed her that what she did was perfectly legal in WWE. Bliss rubbed it in some more as the crowd chanted for Rousey.
  18.
  19. Bliss claimed Rousey was jealous of all the media attention she was getting, then called her irrelevant and an “overhyped rookie.” Rousey shoved Angle aside, tackled Bliss and started hammering away. Angle pulled her off, so Rousey gave him a judo throw. Bliss tried attacking with the briefcase, but Rousey punched her in the stomach and nailed her with the briefcase.
  20.
  21. Angle got in her way again, so she attacked him repeatedly with the briefcase. Referees ran down to stop her, then Rousey laid them out too. Rousey then grabbed Bliss and powerbombed her through the table. The crowd was really into Rousey here.
  22.
  23. Backstage, Rousey argued with Angle. He suspended her for 30 days. He told her to get her things and she stormed off.
  24.
  25. Renee Young tried to get a word from Rousey as she left. Rousey blew her off and kept walking until Young wished her luck. Rousey told her to save the good luck wishes for Bliss because she was going to come back and kick her pink-haired ass.
  26.
  27. Seth Rollins came out. He said Elias took him to his limit but he was still standing here as Intercontinental champion. He called himself a fighting champion and issued an IC title open challenge. Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre came out. They teased it could be McIntyre but it was Ziggler who accepted.
  28.
  29. Dolph Ziggler (w/Drew McIntyre) defeated Seth Rollins to become Intercontinental Champion (18:37)
  30.
  31. They went to commercial 15 seconds into the match. Rollins was in control through the break but Ziggler cut him off with a dropkick after he tried a springboard move. Ziggler applied a chinlock and yelled, “ask him” at the referee. Rollins fought back and slingshotted him into the post. Rollins followed with a slingblade, suicide dive and springboard clothesline for two.
  32.
  33. After a break, Rollins connected with the ripcord knee for a nearfall. Ziggler avoided the stomp and hit a Fameasser for a nearfall. Ziggler tuned up the band for a superkick, but Rollins actually nailed him with one first, then hit a second one for a nearfall. That was a cool spot.
  34.
  35. Rollins missed a frog splash then Ziggler went to the top. Ziggler used a crossbody, but Rollins rolled through, hoisted Ziggler up and gave him a buckle bomb. McIntyre jumped on the apron so Rollins chased him off. Rollins then rolled up Ziggler and had his hands on the tights, but Ziggler reversed into a rollup of his own, also holding the tights, and picked up the three count.
  36.
  37. Ziggler is the new champ, and now a 6-time IC champion. McIntyre and Ziggler attacked Rollins afterwards and Ziggler also did Rollins’ title celebration where he swings the belt around over his head. The announcers played up Rollins having a bad knee throughout the match.
  38.
  39. Young interviewed Ziggler and McIntyre backstage. Ziggler said Monday Night Rollins was cancelled and now everyone online can complain and write a blog about it. McIntyre said this was the first of many titles to come and unlike others, they weren’t going to let the title make them soft. Ziggler said, unlike everybody else, they mean what they say.
  40.
  41. (There was a dig here at Roman Reigns, without actually mentioning his name, so perhaps he’ll be teaming with Rollins against these two.)
  42.
  43. Bobby Roode defeated Curt Hawkins (0:41)
  44.
  45. Roode won with a spinebuster and Glorious DDT. They’re claiming 204 straight losses for Hawkins. If this were real, why would he still be employed?
  46.
  47. They recapped Braun Strowman’s MITB win, then JoJo introduced him to the ring as “Mr. Monster in the Bank.”
  48.
  49. Strowman said he’s flipped over an ambulance, won a giant trophy by tossing around grown men like bean bags, and even played the cello, but winning the briefcase was the greatest feat. Strowman said all Brock Lesnar has to do now is show up so he can cash in and the beast would get these hands.
  50.
  51. Kevin Owens interrupted. He gingerly walked out and was all taped up. Strowman was surprised to see him after getting tossed from the ladder last night. Owens wanted to congratulate him. Owens said he deserved it and the crowd lightly chanted “you deserve it.” Owens knew Strowman would win, which is why he tried banding everyone together against him.
  52.
  53. Owens said Strowman could use his help now. He claimed they had a lot in common, that everyone thinks they’re hot-heads but they’re really good-hearted people with no one looking out for them. Strowman couldn’t even find a real tag partner for WrestleMania, and his own friend Sami Zayn was taken out by Bobby Lashley.
  54.
  55. Owens said they could use each other, and once Strowman cashed in the briefcase, Owens could get the first title match. Owens offered a handshake. Strowman shook his hand, then hoisted him up. Owens slipped out of his grasp and slunk away.
  56.
  57. Bayley comforted Sasha Banks backstage after losing last night. Bayley told her to stop stressing over it. Banks said she wanted to be the best. Bayley said she was demoralized by the Riott Squad last week and wanted to go after them with Banks. She wanted a fresh start. They shook hands.
  58.
  59. Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt defeated Heath Slater & Rhyno in a non-title match (3:25)
  60.
  61. Hardy and Wyatt won the match with their “Kiss of Deletion” double team finisher on Slater.
  62.
  63. Before the match, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas showed up on the screen doing impressions of Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt, respectively. It was fairly amusing. The camera stayed on them after they finished and they weren’t sure what to do, so they just dropped down until they were out of the frame.
  64.
  65. Baron Corbin approached Angle and let him know Stephanie McMahon was happy with how he handled Rousey. Angle didn’t care and said he didn’t do it for her. What he didn’t realize was that Stephanie was on the phone at that moment. Corbin handed him the phone and they went to commercial.
  66.
  67. After the break, Angle was still on the phone with her. She had big news, and he was going to make an announcement in the ring. He had planning to do with Corbin. (Angle was sweating through his shirt.)
  68.
  69. Jinder Mahal (w/Sunil Singh) defeated Chad Gable (2:29)
  70.
  71. No entrance for Gable. Mahal cut a promo before the match. Basically, he’s all about spirituality, tranquillity and inner peace. Michael Cole reminded us that Gable beat Mahal not long ago. Gable had a moment to shine and hit a moonsault for two. Mahal cut him off with a big boot and hit a Khallas for the win. Crowd was dead.
  72.
  73. The Riott Squad tossed some stuff around backstage and destroyed some guy’s laptop. Ruby drew an “R” on a mirror in lipstick, which would be very easy to clean off.
  74.
  75. Sarah Logan & Liv Morgan (w/Ruby Riott) defeated Bayley & Sasha Banks (7:59)
  76.
  77. There was a moment where Banks went for a tag but Bayley was dealing with Logan outside the ring. Then the referee was distracted by Bayley, which allowed Logan to give Banks a cheapshot. Morgan used a schoolboy while holding Banks’ tights for the win.
  78.
  79. Afterwards, Banks shoved Bayley. Bayley got in her face, they exchanged words and stared down for a bit until Banks shoved her down and marched off.
  80.
  81. After a break, Banks and Bayley argued backstage. Banks said she was done with Bayley, then Bayley attacked her. They brawled and Banks got the better of it.
  82.
  83. Kurt Angle came out for an announcement. He said they’ve decided on when Brock Lesnar’s next title defense would be, but now they need an opponent. Just as he said that, Roman Reigns came out. Reigns said the answer was standing in front of him. Reigns said Angle was having trouble running Raw, and having a champion who defended every Monday would be helpful.
  84.
  85. Angle was about to continue but Bobby Lashley interrupted. Lashley said he has watched Reigns try and fail to beat Lesnar for three years. Lashley said he has wanted to fight Lesnar since Reigns was a pup, then said he could beat them both.
  86.
  87. Angle said they were both worthy, but so were others. Angle said there would be a multi-man match at Extreme Rules to determine the opponent. He would announce all the names later, but Lashley and Reigns were two of them.
  88.
  89. The Revival came out next and mocked them for asking for stuff instead of earning it. Wilder and Dawson challenged them to a match and rambled on about why they would win when Reigns cut them off and mocked their little speech. Reigns accepted the match and said “Bob” could learn something if he pays attention. Lashley got in his face but Angle got in the middle and made the match official.
  90.
  91. Roman Reigns & Bobby Lashley defeated The Revival (6:19)
  92.
  93. Wilder actually got a nearfall on Reigns with a schoolboy holding the tights, but Reigns kicked out and hit a superman punch. He set up for the spear when Lashley tagged himself in and killed Wilder with a spear for the pinfall win.
  94.
  95. Backstage, Finn Balor told Angle he would do whatever it took to get into the match at Extreme Rules. Corbin thought Balor didn’t deserve it and was lucky Corbin didn’t take the title from him the first time. Owens interrupted and agreed that Balor didn’t deserve it. Balor didn’t care what they thought, then told Owens he couldn’t even tell when danger was behind him.
  96.
  97. In fact, Strowman was standing right behind him. Owens jumped and moved next to Corbin. Strowman stood up for his buddy Finn and challenged Corbin and Owens to a tag match. Angle was frustrated and commented on his show falling apart, then left without announcing anything. They all stood around awkwardly like somebody was supposed to say something but nobody did. Owens ended up calling out for Angle and left. (The match was made official after a break.)
  98.
  99. They played a video to announce AJ Styles on the cover of WWE 2K19.
  100.
  101. Smackdown will have a gauntlet match tomorrow to determine Styles’ opponent at Extreme Rules. The guys shown were Rusev, Samoa Joe, Big E, Daniel Bryan and The Miz.
  102.
  103. Mojo Rawley defeated No Way Jose (2:40)
  104.
  105. Rawley won with a running punch and fireman’s carry drop. Afterwards, he told Charly Caruso that WWE is more competitive now than it’s ever been, and you need to do more to achieve success. He used to be about staying hype, now he’s about staying focused.
  106.
  107. Bayley found Banks as she was leaving the arena. Bayley said she wasn’t done with her, but Banks said she was done with Bayley (exactly what they said earlier). Banks got in her car and Bayley banged on the windows until she drove away.
