I was just thinking what would I do if I wanted to kill a forum. I think the first thing would be to discourage contributing members to contribute.
Then I would ban or demount the mods that are actually working for the community.
The next step would be to ease up the rules, so the trolls can feel right at home and keep pissing people off within the rules.
I'd allow kids on the site and ban anyone who thinks it is wrong thing to do.
Then I’d make everybody feel that this is my private playground and everybody else are just tolerated on the site.
I'd make sure that there is nothing left of any value for anyone. Piss on the rep system. Ridicule friendships, glorify senseless bullshit, piss on God, the country and anything else of any value to anyone.


In order for LRU to return to it's former glory and the first 100,000 on Alexa's ranking, we need to:


Restore the old rules.
Clean the forum from all the spam. Any post that is not a sentence should be deleted. That would include all the bullshit archives that were saved for the sake of the elect.
Reduce all known rep whores to 0 reps.
Restore neg rep system.
Restore trust in the staff. That would mean removing all none preforming lazy bitches as well as all the sarcastic trolls form the staff.
Make all the secret staff things public.
Restore the rule of respect to any religion, political view, sexual preference and so on.
Stop treating forum games as spam. Games are valuable contributions to the community.
Delete all the not preforming members with some historical 20 posts in the past.
Give preference and recognition to the forum contributing members over the IRC contributors.
