  1. I recommend simply reporting the profile, nothing else can be done as of yet, Facebook can make recommendations to the authorities rather than the authorities contacting Facebook departments first, as authorities will have to REQUEST to obtain system information along with an IP Address which created the account (this can be tracked simply down to a home, details of who pays the bill of the internet connection, when it is paid, how it is paid, etc) - It'd take longer for the authorities to sort this out as any police departments in Northern Ireland would have to refer the case to the Metropolitan Police e-Crime Unit.. report the profile.

  3. Send an email off reporting the profile DIRECTLY to the Facebook Team in California, I have their contact details as I am in frequent contact with them.

  9. The school will refer to the police, who will refer to the UK department of Facebook before referring back to the police, it'll get sorted much quicker if you followed my comment (just trying to be of assistance as I know how the legal system works in cooperation with the Data Protection Act 1998) :-) good luck.

  13. Facebook servers create a backup of the entire social network every four minutes, don't be worrying about that :-) - there's no way of undoing this which is a pro for you and a massive and silly con for the creator of this profile. Take screenshots of the profile, anything related to it, external comments and wall posts. I ensure you would win in a supreme court.

  17. Sorry.. erm, use those email addresses I provided (which I shouldn't have at all because they are employee emails, however this is disturbing) - Refer to your school and the police, HOWEVER do this beforehand, e.g now :-)

  21. I'll fire some emails up in a moment, yes Lauren, your school will refer to the police, however the police can not obtain any information without making a request to Facebook as it would be a clear sign of disobedience with internet privacy legislations, which would speed up the whole process if you sent those emails off to those addresses! :)

  25. This is why I was trying to assist, I knew they would respond like this. Facebook needs to take action first before an e-Crime unit will take it onboard as a form of cyber harassment which is THEN a serious offense.
