Who/What is important to your character?: Jessie really only cares about himself and his own wellbeing. Even his desire to have a romantic/sexual relationship is openly so he can reap the more superficial benefits rather than wanting to /actually/ care for another person.

Does your character have goals? What are they?: He wants to escape as soon as possible and return to the comfortable life he's made for himself. Jessie wouldn't mind helping others escape if there's something in it for him and it doesn't interfere with his plan to escape asap.

What are your character's personal beliefs?: He belives in self preservation first and foremost and will try to assume other people's underlying motives for what they do, even if they include simple moral righteousness. He's not exactly pessimistic, but tries to have very grounded ideas and expectations - usually relying on himself rather than others or luck.

Does your character have personality quirks? (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid): Jessie developed very narcissistic view of himself as a result of his past. He can also be very defensive of his actions when honest, primarily related to morals or his hobbies. Jessie can also be very paranoid as a result of the cybsec knowledge he has, but still tries not to inconvinience himself for privacy's sake. When in difficult situations he tries to have some type of advantage or plan whenever possible.

Why does your character do what they do?: Jessie will always believe he is probably locked up because he's done something suspicious, and behaves accordingly (usually lying). Otherwise he essentially runs off of his base desires/ego while always keeping in mind long term effects. So selfish, but not rash.

How does your character get along with others?: Jessie doesn't want to genuinely connect with others during the game but will emotionally appeal to others and pretend to form bonds with people to get what he wants.

Is there anything your character hates?: He has a firm hatred of many mainstream company and government practices (while continuing to comply of course) due to his paranoia over spying. He also has condescending views of people and society in general, which is typical of shut-ins and usually kept to himself.

Is there anything your character fears?: Jessie fears losing any credibility/importance he has outside of the game and becomming an actual NEET with no friends because thats a SAD life not a comfy life. Also dying a virgin.

What are your character's feelings towards being kidnapped and forced to play the Nonary Game?: Jessie believes his kidnapping is related to either his overall secrecy and privacy (tinfoil hat tier) or any involvments he may have unintentionally had in shady deals as a freelance programmer (slightly more rational, especially since there are times he's not related to what his code is going torwards or may not even know.) So he wants to escape as soon as he can and find out why he was truly kidnapped. Jessie will likely lie about himself and his occupation to erase any suspicion he can think of. If he escapes finding information on the nonary game would be one of his top priorities assuming it doesn't get in the war of his other endeavors.

Backstory Summary:
Jessie was raised in a Rural farmer town in Vermont and by a young age he was disinterested in the events around him, prefering more solitary activities like reading.
His introduction to technology and the internet was at around the age of 6 by a family friend, and as he began to learn more them and understand them working with computers became his main interest.
Throughout grade school Jessie didn't really have any friends because he didn't share much in common with others, and he didn't really make an effort to.
By the time he was in middleschool he wanted to leave his hometown, and was already practicing programming through online classes/personal projects. It's not that he disliked the sense of community, rather the oversimplicity and limited opportunities.
Highschool was when Jessie began to develop an interest in crossdressing, it wasn't exactly for sexual reasons (though it had to do with exploring his sexuality), he began to take an interest in looking cute and cute things in general. He hid this from his conservative parents and his desire to move away intensified. His crossdressing hobby was fueled by online communities where (under an alias) he gained a following that further boosted his ego. His interests in games/anime/imageboards also really developed as "identifiers" during this time as he began to isolate himself at home.
His parents had trouble understanding his unwillingness to socialize and the value he saw in what he did.
He began to take freelance programming jobs senior year and after graduating moved to Seattle. This was essentially cutting ties with his family, not that he did do deliberately, he just never bothered to keep in touch.
He only really goes outside for tech related events/summits, and when he does he obviously dresses and acts appropriately. He's not an awkward speaker either, but has trouble being casually social with people. So most conversations and meetings Jessie has in real life are practical and boring.
As a non-game related goal Jessie currently really wants a boyfriend, the desire comes primarily from him never having a partner before. It also seems really convinient to have someone supporting you financially and fucking you in the ass so he doesn't like poor people with small dicks.
