ubuntu help please

hi dear ubuntu people, love ubuntu and all of you!

 

i'm running windows, i use ubuntu 11.10 as dual boot.

 

but, its installed inside windows using wubi, (meaning i don't need an external cd, i just have to use daemon tools and install it) this means its installed as any other application, no dedicated partition, hibernate not enabled!

 

right now ubuntu is not letting me login in. when i choose ubuntu it goes to login screen then starts incessently flickering between login screen and black screen, i can't stop it, i can't login in.

 

now there are files which i want to use.

 

my question is -

1. can u help make the flicker stop and get me to login?

2. if this is not possible, please tell me where i can find those files in windows itself, because i did not partition the disk!
