  1. Orcs are tall, usually strong, with tusks and dark hair, their skin can be a range of colours from grass green, to sand yellow, to coal black. The colour of an orc resembles his environment, an orc of the forest will be dark green, and orc from the desert will be a sandy tan. It is not known where the Orcoid race comes from. Orcs have for much of their existence lived uncivilized lives, usually in small tribes where the strongest of them is chief. In fact the only known example of civilized orcs would be in the grand city of SkarboBurg, where one of the noble families is orcish and indeed orcs live in the city just as humans and elves do. The name “Orc” allegedly comes from an ancient Elvish word meaning “pig” though nobody can confirm this as the Elvish language has changed much over the years. Orcs are generally more subject to more racial tensions than Elves or Humans are, owing this to their somewhat deserving reputation as marauders and monsters. Slurs for Orcs include such words as “pigs” “hogs” “snouties” or “tuskers”, most slurs are based entirely on appearance. This is not helped by the hairy hide that covers their bodies. Orcs are not stupid, well not any more or less than humans and elves at least. An orc has the same capacity for learning that the other two “civilized” races do, however many of them tend to focus on improving their already great strength instead of learning about oral histories or courtroom etiquette. The reputation for Orcish stupidity is now helped by their speech. Orcs all have an underbite, the severity of which can vary greatly, thus Orcs are not exactly eloquent in pronnunciation, they cannot effectivly make the “th” sound that other races can and most orcs usually try to force the sound out quickly and unelegantly, and in addition, must make the “sh” sound with the back of the mouth, rather than the front, this makes an orc sound very brutish and well, stupid. . For example the sentence “I am Yath Uroshi, Thegn of House Urosh.” sounds more like “I om Yahdt Uroschi, Htegn of Haus Urosch.”
