Barbara was used to having very vivid dreams, maybe it was because she was a witch, maybe it was something else but her dreams felt so real sometimes which could be a good thing if nightmares werent a thing and she didnt work in the field she did, at times like that she wish she could lucid dream. Barbara drifted off to bed cellphone in hand, she replayed the last voice he ever left her over and over again. She needed to hear his voice again barbara was so used to beej and adam being the first things she heard in the morning and the last things she heard at night.

It wasnt long before barbra was was up in bed, groggily rubbing her eyes. She felt someone next to her in bed, must have been adam he probably crawled in bed after she went to sleep. Barbara rurned around
"Hey hone-" she froze, her skin turning pale white it wasnt adam
"Hey babes" the larger man smiled up at her
"You okay? Looks loke youve seen a ghost, thats my thing!" He laughed fiving her a kiss on the cheek
"I...you...sorry i just im still tired" she stammered giving him a hug
"You must be, you were aleepin for a while there" beej put a hand on her head slowly threading his fingers through her soft blonde curls.
"We need adam here it feels like so long since we've been in bed like this together" she suggested leaning into his touch.
"Yeah we could, but then youf have to wake up" those words...it felt differnt so strange
"What are you talking about beej we are awake" she giggled looking up at beej. But when hwr eyes met his it wasbt the same, they were the same lifeless green eyes she saw on that night.
"You have to wake up barbara" he said softly solemnly looking down at his lover
"No nononononon please NO" she begged holding him tight, her eyes squeezed shut. She started shouting, begging, pleading before something...someone was shaking her awake
"Barbara wake up please!" Her eyes shot open, she was in a cold sweat and crying.
Adam looked absolutely terrified, he certainly got nightmares too but not like this, it killed him to see his girlfriend like this.
"I-it was bj...he was here..i..ifelt him..i heard him!!" Barbara continued to cry in Adam's arms as he held her close. Beetlejuices death felt like an awful nightmares but this one was one they couldn't wake up from.
