- A worldwide online conference for people who care about the work they do.
- The world tends to focus on activities that can be measured. Measured by a number, an increment, a point on a graph.
- Maybe it's time to focus on growing people in a way that can't be calculated by a percentage or a simple score.
- Maybe it's time to focus on the skills that matter.

- You’re invited to an online video conference about developing real skills. A conference in the truest sense—you’re here to meet other people, to forge connections, to find the others.
- We’re creating circles of people who care—a tribe of leaders who see that it’s possible to create more value, generate more change and do work that we’re proud of.
- We do things differently here at Akimbo. This isn't your typical conference. This is about learning together and choosing to make a change. Inside, you'll engage in real-time conversations with other attendees from around the world in small groups of 4-5 people, in addition to bigger group discussions. You can expect the conference to be 80% participation and 20% speakers.

- Come from where you are
- Join us for the first-ever worldwide live conference for developing real skills. It all happens from your computer, in a video conference format, face to face.
- You’ll hear from Seth Godin and the coaches from Akimbo. But far more important, you’ll be able to engage face to face (digitally!) with people like you. Because not feeling alone makes this worthy journey a lot easier.
- The conference runs LIVE for two hours. It’s a powerful way to grow—surrounded by people who want to make things better by making better things.
- From the creators of the Akimbo Workshops
- You may have heard about the altMBA, The Marketing Seminar and the other powerful workshops we run. After engaging with more than 20,000 students around the world, we have seen that people are hungry for this sort of change. Eager for a chance to make a difference, to see and to be seen.
- What you'll take away
- Access to a community of people like you who seek to make a difference
- An understanding of how to prepare for the future of work and leadership
- Tools for how to develop your real skills beyond the conference
- Discover human skills that robots can’t replicate
- Invite your boss, your colleagues, and your direct reports to sign up too. Great teams know how to talk to one another about real skills. Check out our FAQ page for more on groups and why you need to sign up individually.
- Registration & details
- We haven’t released the dates for the next conference. Be the first to know when we do by signing up for the Tell Me More email drip.
- This conference is about you, your work and your actions. It happens live, just like an in-person conference, and will not be widely available as a recording.
- The magic will come from the virtual face-to-face connections between you and the other participants. Please plan to arrive online 15 minutes before the conference to take your “virtual seat” in the video conference Zoom room, so that you can get in before the doors automatically close at start time. Learn more about how a virtual conference works. The cost to attend is $78 per person. Space is limited, and waiting probably isn't a good idea.
- This might not be a good time
- The world is topsy turvy. For too many of us, that means uncertainty and hardship. We’re running this live online conference now because we think one of the most important things we can do to contribute is to help people learn and lead.
- We’ve run it before. Hundreds of attendees were changed in just two hours.
- We plan to run a session of the Real Skills Conference every few months. If this isn’t a good time for you, we hope you’ll consider a future event.
- [Non-profit leaders: We regularly offer slots in our workshops and events to leaders at recognized non-profits. If you’d like to learn more, drop a line to hello@realskillsconference.com.]
- We offer a full refund for your registration up until three days before the event. Just let us know if something comes up.
- In the meantime, here are some of the free assets we’re delighted to recommend:
- There are thousands of blog posts from Seth on how to level up here.
- Seth’s interviews and talks on YouTube are always available as well.
- We’re in for a slog, but there will be another side. Your leadership matters now more than ever.
