Java, Python, C++, Swift, JavaScript ...the list of programming languages seem endless.

Today's digital society advocates its students towards computer programming with schools across the nation offering computer science classes. It has even reached to the point where we had National Coding Week, which is dedicated to teaching and offering practical experience to students about computer science. My interest in majoring in computer science came as a cultivation of our nation's advocacy towards teaching students about computer programming.

As a major in computer science, I wish to learn the other programming languages, such as Swift and Python, because I am currently learning Java. With these numerous programming languages I want to use them to benefit society. Currently, computer programming as simplified most tasks that were done manually. However, the applications of computer science in hospital and pharmaceutical aspects have yet to be done in depth.

With the knowledge gained, I hope to employ computer programming in the pharmaceutical and clinical field. I could create a program that will help break down the cellular and chemical compound of a virus which would help pharmaceutical scientists in procuring an aide against the sickness. While technology today has improved in searching for cancer, we still have trouble detecting it. I hope to one day create a program that will make it easier to detect this nationwide problem.

Society has yet to use the full potential of computer programming. With computer science I plan to stimulate the world's health against the sicknesses we face.
