1. The muscle of Dylan's team can't tank Sephiroth magic. That's just the long and short of it. I'm seeing precisely zero answers to 'Sephiroth flies into range, opens up with a party-wide Thundaga or what have you, and cleans up the rest with help from his friends'. He's not just Masamune, y'know.
2.
3. My argument relies on Sephiroth not listening to Selvaria. If it's being acknowledged that Sephiroth doesn't give two shits about what Selvaria says, that's a good thing. She lets him go, knowing that he won't listen, so just let him do his thing and serve as a distraction for all other members of my team.
4.
5. On a related note, people seem to have gotten the impression that Selvaria is some soft romantic sap when I hyped how much she cares about her men. This is incorrect. She is a general first and foremost, and she knows the men she commands have agreed to put their lives on the line for their country. She will make the move that is best for the majority of her men - and letting the man who's more durable than she is, with the ability to just fly up and shoot lightning at the enemy team, take the front lines is a very logical move from that standpoint, as it gives her men with less durability than him a solid distraction to move and get into cover or flank the enemy.

7. Related: Let's say that Quiet gets into position in the seconds it takes for Selvaria to get behind cover and takes the shot, hitting Selvaria in the head. What exactly does that do? Even as a normal human it takes multiple headshots to take her down, and this is Valkyrur Selvaria. Sniper fire is not 'Heavy Gatling' fire.

13. If we wanna go math here, she takes 4 damage per heavy gatling bullet, out of a total of 1500 HP. She is only stunned by tank rounds. She doesn't need the invincibility. Quiet can scratch her.
14.
15. Double related: In no situation is it the best option to have someone run out into the middle of an open field, enemy sniper at the ready, risking their lives to grab half a minute of no damage. Selvaria, being a military strategist, would realize this without any issue. No, it is far, far better in the long run to leave it be - and being a general of an army, Selvaria knows a thing or two about tactical decisions, both short-term and long. The worst thing that happens is... nothing. Perhaps someone on the enemy team goes for it... in which case, someone positioned nearby can gib them, just like Quiet could.
16.
17. There are two options that go on with the rest of my team while Sephiroth magicks everyone to death: Either Selvaria keeps them in their positions, holding the line behind cover, and never being caught off-guard due to knowing where the enemy is...
18.
19. ...or, while Sephiroth is holding the enemy's attention, she moves her men - holding cover as much as possible - into a flanking position, being able to keep track of every single member of the enemy team. With the Gnomish Bread from Arc, Selvaria gets both a map of the terrain and constant enemy location info, allowing her to put together both the best time and place to dive them.

25. She's no slouch in short range, after all.
26.
27. Of course, none of this matters, because no one but potentially Joseph and for sure Inkling (only due to her full body armor) can tank Sephiroth's magic. And while I give Joseph insane credit for planning, when Muthafuckin' Sephioth is in his face, and he's backed up by an incredibly solid backline led by a brilliant military strategist... yeah, no, it's not happening.

29. PS: That 'impulsive little shit' comment was towards Raiden, by the way. Although, since Venom Snake is here, he's probably a lot less... well, Raiden-y, which probably means he'll actually stay with the group!

31. Good. It's his funeral.
