[08:13] He sighed quietly, shaking his head as he glanced towards Lu Meilin. Already noting Gastan's stance as if the man was prepared to go on the offensive.

"Swallow your pride and pay up girl. Just a friendly advice."

He said towards Lu Meilin. Knowing and having lived with Vanhillarans for a bit, he knew how they were bound to act once angered. It probably wasn't going to end up well for her should she refuse to pay up.

[08:15] Meilin took up her stance again, except one thing was different. Her extended fist was not a fist at all, the fingers were splayed outwards, as if preparing to catch something.

Was she going to catch that attack or counter it?

"I'm not giving up. I have to fight more and you're not strong enough." A glance towards Nash was made, indicating him as the recipient of that one. It wasn't said in a mocking tone, either, just as something that was a fact.

The man would make sure his gun was loaded.

[08:22] Her comment stirred up something inside of him. He just blanked out for a second, as if not just believing what she had said. His eyes homing in on Lu, the Ookami watching for just a good moment. Eventually he was able to compose himself. Claws digging deep into the wall behind him as he took in a deep breath.

"Not strong enough huh. At least I'm not the one putting up a pathetic display and refusing to uphold a bargain because I lost."

He replied towards her in an irritated tone. Folding his arms as he would just let Gastan have his way. Not even bothering to help out now.

[08:24] "I'm not giving you your coin until you fight me again. I made no vows and I need practice. People keep declining my request to practice." Her eyes narrowed. Was this really the right way to direct her anger at something else entirely? Probably not but she wasn't exactly experienced with being extremely angry about anything, and she did need the practice.

The ire bled into her tone just a bit. It wasn't about losing, it was about the lack of fighting in general. She had to get her mind off of other matters, or she'd end up doing something worse because she kept thinking about them. It was a vicious cycle of getting her mind off of it and slowly sinking back into upset contemplation.

"I'll triple it if I lose this time." Maybe that would ease things a bit, or maybe it'd incite the Vanirhallan further.

[08:57] A coin purse was immediately tossed from her belt, hitting the flagstones in front of Gastan. It was a lot more than three hundred, actually. The sentimental value in those gauntlets was pretty high, enough to make her surrender her entire savings for them on the spot.

She was still breathing irregularly and slowly recovering from the fight.

She also be healed by his holy magic.

[09:02] The gauntlets were taken back and quickly re-secured onto her arms, but she didn't lash out at Gastan. No, she could have called for the guard, but didn't, because the things that mattered to her at this point were in her possession again. Meilin broke free of Gastan immediately, exercising her mana-enhanced strength to remove all grip on her and back away.

"Don't touch my gauntlets again." She must have prized them greatly, and in truth, she did. They were from one of her few very close friends.

[09:03] He shook his head, moving over to sit down on the bench. Dropping his blade on the floor as he placed his foot on it. Folding his arms. Irritating as it was, the little spectacle between Lu and Gastan was pretty amusing.

"Hmph. If she's acting like that because they got touched then. Wonder what happens when she really loses those gauntlets."

The man clearly didn't worry at all of the threats. He was just happy.
