My name is Chris Fistonich and I'm the actual owner of the iPad; David was helping me sell it. I hear there's been a bit of a misunderstanding about what you purchased.

Please understand that I've been trying to sell it for 3 months now, and that the release of the iPad 2 has made it even more difficult than it was before. I'm afraid that when you opened the shrinkwrapping from the box, regardless of whether it's even been used or not, the value of the iPad has dropped considerably. In my experience, no one trusts an opened package even with a guarantee that it hadn't been used, primarily because of the great lengths people go through to try to make fraudulent transactions. As such, people are not willing to pay what I'd like, for it.

I understand that people make mistakes and I appreciate your forthrightness in admitting them; however, for me to take back the iPad, I'm afraid it would require a bit more than a "slight loss" on your end, considering the depreciation value from removing it from its shrinkwrap.

With that said, let me know if there was an upper limit to the amount you would be willing to "lose" to give back the iPad, and we'll see what we can do to accommodate.

You're right. I did open the shrink wrap as you saw but did not remove the
ipad from it's shell or wrapping. I will take a slight loss if I return it
because it was my fault for not being savy enough to understand it was not
3G. However it is still in the same condition you gave it to me this
afternoon.
Understand an honest mistake and do the right thing by taking it back and
allowing me to spend the money getting my wife what she really needs for her
work.
