- After playing the deck the last two nights and thinking about the cards and matches and how the games play out, here is where I am leaning for this weekend.
- 4 Seeker of the Way
- 1 Soulfire Grand Master
- 4 Goblin Rabblemaster
- 2 Brimaz, King of Oreskos
- 2 Ashcloud Phoenix
- 4 Stormbreath Dragon
- 4 Chained to the Rocks
- 1 Wild Slash
- 4 Lightning Strike
- 4 Hordeling Outburst
- 4 Stoke the Flames
- 2 Outpost Siege
- 11 Mountain
- 4 Plains
- 4 Battlefield Forge
- 4 Temple of Triumph
- 1 Evolving Wilds
- Sideboard
- 2 Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker
- 3 Arc Lightning
- 2 Glare of Heresy
- 2 End Hostilities
- 1 Erase
- 1 Scouring Sands
- 4 slots remaining for the sideboard
- I've been completely underwhelmed with Valorous Stance in every single game that I've played it in so I think I am just going to cut it. I know that it's pretty good against the Courser/Rhino decks, so I might end up just playing one in the sideboard, but I know I don't want any in the main.
- For the mirror I think that I want to just turn into a control deck. The Sarkhans and Elspeths along with the land and removal spells. It may even be right to bring in the End Hostilities. Then we can just try to stick a Siege on Khans and ride the card advantage.
- I think I'd rather have Erase over the Abzan Advantage since it allows for easier/earlier "double-spell" turns, and with how insane Outpost Siege is in the mirror I think we want it there.
- Possibile configurations
- 2 Hushwing Gryff
- 2 Wild Slash
- 3 Hushwing Gryff
- 1 Wild Slash
- 2 Elspeth, Sun's Champion
- 1 Wild Slash
- 1 Wind-Scarred Crag/Evolving Wilds
- 1 Elspeth, Sun's Champion
- 1 Wind-Scarred Crag/Evolving Wilds
- 2 Hushwing Gryff
- Alternatively we could also go with
- 2 Arc Lightning (down from three, which opens up a slot)
- 2 Hushwing Gryff
- 2 Elspeth, Sun's Champion
- 1 Evolving Wilds/Wind-Scarred Crag
- Additionally, we could just find room for two more Brimaz andjam up to four post board. I was impressed with him in every game.
- The land/Elspeth plan doesn't seem all that bad against the control decks either, although, I feel like those are just lost causes at this point anyway.
