  112.
  113. The Harvesters are a nation of flesh-weaving elves living on the moon who regularly descend to Earth to kidnap anyone outside the protection of one of the Crowned. Victims are taken to Aitken crater on the far side of the moon, where most of the Harvesters live, and are slowly assimilated until they become new Harvesters. For their part, the Harvesters honestly believe that they are doing their victims a favor by freeing them from the pain, death, and ugliness of life beyond the light of the Crowned.
  114.
  115. The Harvesters are beautiful and immortal elves who revere their Crowned, a Daeva called the Keeper, as a savior sent by Teiatat-in-Lavender to deliver them from the horrors of the old world. Their entire existence is an endless festival to venerate Teiatat for casting down the old world and ushering in a new paradise, leaving only to gather new revelers to share in the Lavender Throne’s generosity. The Harvesters celebrate life in all its splendor. Art, music, poetry, literature, and many other creative endeavors are held in high regard, even when they have little to do with sexuality. They sometimes bicker with the Neon Coast on that point, seeing their earth-dwelling counterparts as overly simplistic in their worship of Teiatat-in-Lavender.
  116.
  117. As for the Keeper, in truth he does not so much rule the Harvesters as enjoy them. His transformation into one of the Crowned made him a powerful being with access to the wisdom of Teiatat, but it also left him with equally powerful urges. The elves would do anything to please the Keeper, seeing him as their living connection to Teiatat-in-Lavender. All the Keeper has to do is make his desire known, and his people will rush to accommodate it.
  118.
  119. Probably the most extreme example of this are the dancing girls the Harvesters train. The Keeper enjoys the sight of beautiful elven women in motion, and so the Harvesters have an extensive training program that produces the most graceful and gorgeous women imaginable. Competition among the dancers is intense. Only the best are allowed to perform within sight of the Keeper, and many of them aspire to win the honor of helping their savior satisfy his Teiatat-given urges. Indeed, the only thing keeping many of them from actually murdering their rivals is the knowledge that the Keeper is a telepath who does not approve of his subjects killing one another.
