Ling Mei is a slim, yet slightly busty young woman, with a fresh youthful face and long, wavy strawberry blonde dyed hair. At 168cm tall, she has a shorter torso, but her legs are strongly muscled, due to her athletic habits.

Ling Mei is the type of person that blends into her surroundings; you don't see her unless she wants you too. Often labeled as the 'distant lady' at her workplace by fellow counselors, she's actually far from that. With friends, family and clients, she's up close and personal, offering kind words filled with help and wisdom. Ling Mei can be both empathetic and logical, depending on what problem she's facing at the time, and once she has her attention on one thing it's hard to get it elsewhere. Ling Mei remains level headed at all times, not allowing herself to get anxious or stressed, which to some people may make her seen cold or emotionless, but really, it's just a waste of time to her. There's no need to get worried about something that won't change, you have to find a way around it. Ling Mei is mentally strong, not letting anything stand between her and her goals.

Both of Ling Mei's parents are teachers, while her father worked at a private college before retiring, Ling Mei's mother homeschooled her, bringing the then child up two grades, resulting in her finishing 'school' 2 years early. Her father, although being home later on school nights, was always closest to Ling Mei, and encouraging Ling Mei do what she wanted, while her mother attempted to convince her into accounting. However, recently her father passed away, causing Ling Mei to move back in with her mother, which has had a big effect on both of them.

~writing: for as long as she remembers Ling Mei has read and wrote to burn time and improve her vocabulary. In fact, as a child she had originally wanted to be an author, but changed her ideal profession as a teen.

~fast acting: Ling Mei has a fat reaction time to things that come out of the blue, and is almost always paying attention to everything.

~information: Ling Mei processes and 'inhales' information faster than most, and remembers the majority of what she sees, whether it be lines from books or a minor scene from a movie.

~reading: Ling Mei was often bored due to being home quite often, and like most people, she finds beautiful worlds in books; amazing things that could never happen.

~the canals: some of the fondest memories belonging to Ling Mei are when her family would ride on boats through the beautiful canals of Suzhou, the area she grew up in. As an adult she still visits the canals weekly. They are always a sense of calm, and for some strange reason unknown to her, Ling Mei seemed to connect with them.

~cats: her cousin Tzuyu has dubbed Ling Mei the 'estranged cat lady', since all her life she's owned cats, the most at once was 5, due to her mother being allergic to dogs. Although many people don't know, Ling Mei loves animals, especially her fluffy pets which she affectionately calls her 'Fur Children'.

dislikes: (minimum three, explain why):

~spiders: Spiders are possibly the only thing on earth that'll make Ling Mei feel irrational, due to being afraid of them. The reason being because at age 8, while going back to this car after an outdoor barbeque, a spider jumped into her hair but was only found when they pulled into her driveway.

~swimming: Ling Mei never liked being fully submerged in water, and as a kid would refuse baths, choosing showers over anything. Not even Ling Mei herself knows why, and has dubbed it a flaw of hers.

~dust: Just no. She's heavily allergic to dust mites, and if she's anywhere near them she'll be sneezing for the rest of the day. She's not very good at cleaning because of this, either.

habits (random habits, habits when nervous, when lying, etc.):

~She has a bad habit of forgetting to flush the toilet after using.
~She forgets to eat when busy, and often ends up eating noodles late at night.
~She's terrible at lying, and when she does her eyes seem to travel to the left.

~Whenever she's bored she exercises, which is how she remains so slim. Though, due to running often, she's retained muscled legs, which she's quite proud of.
~Playing with her cats is something she does very often, and she actually owns 3.

~Ling Mei accidentally stabbed her cheek with a fork when she was three.

~Ling Mei had black hair before she bleached and dyed it, and it reaches her mid-torso

Ling Mei likes the idea of equality between men and women, but what she is not so fond of is the law of idling. She's always believed that every human has a job layed out for them, a job that'll help people around them. Ling Mei's job is to give advice to people, and although you can still do that in the Commonwealth, she doesn't like the fact it isn't professional.

Ling Mei is laying down on a beach, lost in her own thoughts when she hears the sand shifting. About two metres away LI is standing, looking at her curiously.

how they act around each other:

LI and Ling Mei are very normal around each other, being themselves all while trying not to let onto the other that they like them.

slot's opinion on love and marriage:

Although Ling Mei has never experienced such whimsy yet, she believes that romantic love is when two people love each other more than they love anything else, and although they aren't their the exact same or a missing half, they compliment one another. She feel a that marriage should be considered when the pair have been in a healthy, stable relationship for quite a while, and when the want for it is mutual.

Maybe something like INDIAN OCEAN reveals the tragedy of her life, and Ling Mei just lets her talk, lets her get it all out of her.

Something like LI is curious about Ling Mei's life, and she tells him every aspect of it, but ends up crying when it comes to her father. LI then comforts her, and gives Ling Mei a kiss on the cheek.

what are your thoughts on how a country should be governed? (optional):

I personally don't have a preference, but if there's one thing I'm against it's communist regimes. It's horrible to think that we still have parts of countries that govern like this.
