  1. Hello, everyone! Welcome back for another year of Ancient Runes. In this lesson, we will be taking a deeper look into Runes 0-2. Without further ado- let's begin.
  2. As learned in the last lesson, the rune 0 is represented by the Demiguise. The Demiguise is a peaceful, herbivorous creature that can make itself invisible and tell the future which makes it very hard to catch. It is found in the Far East, but only wizards and witches trained in their capture can even see them. It resembles an ape with large, black eyes and long, silky hair. The reason behind a Demiguise symbolizing the number 0, is that Demiguise pelts are highly sought after as the hair can be woven into Invisibility cloaks.
  3. The number 1 is symbolized by the Unicorn. The reasoning behind this is rather easy to guess, as Unicorns have a single horn atop their head.
  4. The last symbol we will discuss today is the Graphorn, which symbolizes the number 2. The Graphorn was large and hump-backed, with grayish-purple skin tougher than that of dragons. It could repel most spells, had two golden horns (which is why it symbolizes the number 2), and walked on large four-thumbed feet. It's mouth was made of tentacle-like appendages, that were used to grab food and put it in it's mouth. It also used these to show affection. It was said to resemble a sabre-tooth tiger.
  5. That's it for the first lesson on Advanced Runes! Please move on to your homework.
