Just a random idea that I've been musing on for a while; it probably will not be widely accepted, so I haven't mentioned it in notes. But, posting it here should probably be okay, just to sorta get it off my chest if nothing else. :nikopancakes:

I think that it would be beneficial to consider the idea of a Retired Staff role for members who have previously served as staff on the Oneshot server. The reason that I feel this way is that it allows previous staff members (such as Kierke, etc) to contribute their experience to situations that call for it, without the necessary responsibilities of an active staff member. I also feel that it introduces negligible issues regarding security (leaks), and access could be revoked on an individual basis using channel overrides. It could possibly be a great way to reward those who have given their time to the community.

This system is already in place and tested in a community that I have been a part of for many years. The Retired Staff group has been invaluable to us when difficult situations arise. Those who are lacking in activity due to work, school, or other responsibilities feel more confident in relinquishing their positions, knowing that they still have a voice and visibility to the areas that they previously held. And we tend to pick from this group if any of them show a desire to return; which, often, they do.

There could be many different things to take into consideration given a community of Oneshot's size, but I think it would be really cool to see some form of this in place.
