Please compare the works and principles of Plato and Niccolo Machiavelli when responding to the following questions.  Because I am asking you to do a comparison, you must respond to each question with regard to each text and explain the difference between the two.  [It moves from using the book directly to drawing conclusions with each question.]

1. Do human being act differently when pursuing political end than they do while engaging in private action?

2. Should human beings act differently within the political and private spheres of life?

3. Which of these authors' theories of political ethics leads to the better outcome, in your well-defended opinion?  Though I am asking you to take a stand, you must be able to defend it using the texts themselves.
