Fox: No it isn't mate. It says 486 on the socket, it has a 3 slot attachment bracket either side not one and it has a step in the heat sink base rather than being flat like Socket A. Go figure...I know lol

Me: Whatever you say boss, I'm stepping out of this one. I will point putt tjat tthere has never been a socket 486, not even on the origioal 80486 CPU. Moreover, both that model of CPU and the specs for that board name both state its socket a. Have a good day.
