  1. Cordelia: The woman sits down quietly at the edge of the cliff, staring out at the waterfall.
  2.
  3. Aregoth: Out of mist bordering the little world she had made for herself strides a man still clad in bright green armour, removing his helm slowly he approaches her, a wide smirk upon his face; "Well, That could of gone better... All things said and done." The man continues to stand behind her, gazing upon her the helm tucked under his arm as the brightness of the green seeming to ever so slowly fade.
  4.
  5. Cordelia: She glances back at the voice, tilting her head. She stares like a moose caught in headlights for quite sometime, before nodding a bit. "Yeah. It could've." She murmurs, her cheeks stained with tears. Cordelia tears her gaze from him and looks back forward.
  6.
  7. Aregoth: Loosing the smirk to an almost solemn smile Aregoth averts his gaze slightly, just for a moment, before returning to look upon her nodding to unheard words from himself, releasing his grip upon the helm it clatters upon the ground, crackling in the wind as it seems to drift away into nothing not unlike logs upon a fire become ash, stepping forward again close enough to let his fingers rest upon her shoulder; "Found you, knew I would."
  8.
  9. Cordelia: The woman continues staring out. "Yup. Should've left me here alone like I deserved though." She says softly.
  10.
  11.
  12. Aregoth: He winces at that pulling his fingers back for a moment, before kneeling down and despite any protests that may be made, embraces her wholely in his arms murmuring; "But then who would inform you about how I was wrong? About how it wasn't now nor it ever was futile? About how forever exists?"
  13.
  14. Cordelia: The woman doesn't protest, but instead willingly lets him do so, leaning back against his body. She closes her eyes. "What's the point if I broke my promises? I was supposed to help fix you. I was supposed to stay by your side forever."
  15.
  16. Aregoth: "Promises are difficult to keep when you don't know the future, don't know the way the world is going to take you, don't know what things are going to be thrown at you. Sometimes... Sometimes just the wish to keep the promise, the knowledge that beyond everything else when you said those words every fibre of your being meant it. Sometimes that means everything, and I know you meant it Cordelia, I know you wanted to more than anything, that stands for something, thats why I came for you Cordelia, thats why I came to find you."
  17.
  18. Cordelia: "I'm sorry. I was so confused. I'm always confused without you around. I'm stupid. It seemed like a good idea until I realized what I was doing. Then I started wishing you were there to help me not be so stupid, but it was too late."
  19.
  20. Aregoth: Aregoth rests his head upon her shoulder speaking softly holding back tears of his own; "It matters not, not now, I came for you, I would of hunted the world over a hundred times for you Cordelia, a hundred lives and more, I was going to find you and I did. Thats what matters, I have found you and I'm not letting you go, not again, never again. I love you Cordelia, without you everything loses meaning, I have found you. Thats what matters now. Nothing else."
  21.
  22. Cordelia: "And I love you Aregoth. I love you so much. I said once I loved you more than you could ever know, but I think I was wrong about that. Maybe back then, but I think you know now, at least." She says softly, adjusting the skirt on her dress as she shifts into his arms. "But I ruined your dream. You won't be able to write anymore, or pass anything on."
  23.
  24. Aregoth: He pauses at that, stung just a little then shakes his head; "Doesn't matter, None of it does, I'm proud of you, I'm proud of what you did Cordelia. You did the right thing, not the easy one, the right thing. You saved lives, you did the right thing. Maybe thats the impression we will leave, maybe thats what we will pass on, Our memories, Our souls will leave an imprint on the world, something lasting in the minds of those that knew us. Aye, Aye, thats what we leave..." Stops at that frowning at something as he moves his hands to rest upon her stomach falling silent.
  25.
  26. Cordelia: She shuts her eyes tightly, "That doesn't matter. Easy thing, right thing, none of it matters. Only you were supposed to. I forgot that. I forgot it and I let you down." She flinches somewhat as he touches her stomach. "I let our child down too, it seems." She murmurs.
  27.
  28. Aregoth: He leans forward kissing her gently upon her lips, his eyes finally betraying him as a few tears drop; "I, I'm sorry... I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have let you walk off, I shouldn't have let you, I was distracted, I wasen't thinking, I shouldn't" Stops swallowing hard kissing her again, frantically; "It is my fault, I let you down, not the other way around, I'm sorry Cordelia... I'm so bloody sorry."
  29.
  30. Cordelia: Cordelia shakes her head, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him back passionately. "You've let me down before, but not then, Aregoth. You were perfect then, and I was too stupid to realize what I was giving up at that moment, and what I was doing to you."
  31.
  32. Aregoth: He allows the tear keep running, embracing her tightly, shaking from his sobs; "I didn't think I'd find out, I thought I'd lost you forever, I was so scared I wouldn't see you again, Gods I was scared, it was dark coming here, looking, searching. So dark and cold and alone and... Gods I'm just, So happy to look upon her face, to hold you, to kiss you. We have forever now. We have forever."
  33.
  34. Cordelia: "I've missed you. I've missed you a lot." She runs a hand through his hair. "Don't cry. We do have forever." She smiles softly, brushing his cheek gently. "Though you're a silly hypocrite for asking me not to follow if you'd have ever died."
  35.
  36. Aregoth: He smirks at that, the tears slowly halting; "And leave you here alone? No, Never, I couldn't do that, weak as it was I suppose, I couldn't leave you alone, I would fight for you Cordelia, I would surrender for you, And I would live and die for you, but not alone, never alone, not anymore. I won't be alone again. We won't be alone again, let it all come, here, there, anywhere... I won't let anything tear us apart."
  37.
  38. Cordelia: "Should've dragged you to Dyfed that night at the waterfall." She smiles slightly. "Always should've made you leave when you presented the opportunity, but I never did."
  39.
  40. Aregoth: "I should of made us go long before that my love, We, I didn't see... I didn't look far ahead enough. I didn't see what was coming, I was foolish, I should have seen it, I should of known it was a stupid dream. And by the time all I wanted was you, By the time I realised all I needed was you, it was too late, our chances had passed us by. I'm sorry, for that. I truly am."
  41.
  42. Cordelia: "Maybe. But it worked out in the end, didn't it?" She opens her eyes, meeting his gaze for a moment. "We're here by ourselves with nobody to bother us. The same as if we'd ran away." She holds him tightly. "Will you trust me with your child again, Aregoth?"
  43.
  44. Aregoth: He turns his gaze to hers, smiling again, truthfully with a hint of joy behind his damp eyes; "Aye, Of course I would... A child, I would trust you with a child, of course I would, I'd trust you with anything." Leans forward kissing her again, embracing her tightly, resting his forehead against hers. "A child, A family, we can do that?"
  45.
  46. Cordelia: She nods. "We can do that." She tilts her head, "I told you that I changed my mind long ago when I decided to have a child. That wasn't entirely true, I suppose. I just wanted to make you happy. I do want one now, though. I have wanted one for a while." She then pauses for a moment, before deciding to reach out with her right hand and poke his cheek.
  47.
  48. Aregoth: Smiles wider as she pokes him, grabbing her hand quickly and kissing the finger gently "I thought it might have been that, I worried I guess... But Yes... Lets have a family, lets build that bloody gods be damned house, lets make it everything we ever bloody well wanted and screw the rest, us, together, our family, our home, forever. Forever. No regrets, No looking back, just us."
  49.
  50. Cordelia: She chuckles softly as she grabs his hand, kissing him on the lips again. "Okay." She smiles and nods. "Do you want to go try and start that family now?" She murmurs.
  51.
  52. Aregoth: He leans into her kissing her again allowing a hand to roam down her side with a smirk. "Aye.... lets do that."
  53.
  54. Cordelia: "Good!" She smiles.
  55.
  56. Cordelia: The woman slips on her purple tunic and clasps on her similar colored cloak. She then glances over to him for a moment. "I forgot to give you something." She reaches into a pouch and opens it, pulling out a fire agate. "Here." She smiles softly and holds it towards him.
  57.
  58. Aregoth: Pulling on his old tunic, worn at Urien's feast Aregoth smiles slightly; "No need for armour anymore." Mostly said to himself before turning to Cordelia, pulling the small Amethyst from his own pocket, "No, No need to give them back. We aren't singular anymore, we don't need to be, not here. We are together, as close as we can get, with nothing to get in our way. No need to hold on to what is our own, we merely have what is ours now."
  59.
  60. Cordelia: She smiles, "Never were singular. Always us, remember? You have a piece of me, and I of you." She sits back down at her original position, facing the waterfall. "Sometimes we stupidly forgot about that, but we still had a piece of each other."
  61.
  62. Aregoth: "That was kind of the point I guess." He steps towards her, standing with a hand placed upon her shoulder both staring out at the waterfall; "What is this place? It can't be where we think it is, Is this what the Christian's call Heaven?"
  63.
  64. Cordelia: Cordelia glances up to him, then tugs him lightly with her hand. "Sit down. And, I'm not sure. The Dryw have their own afterlife too, but it's not the same. Or maybe it's none of that. It's like I told you, about the stars. I'm curious, I suppose, but I'd rather just accept the beauty and take it in. I doubt we'll find answers anyways."
  65.
  66. Aregoth: He pauses for a while, just looking out at the waterfall his eyes narrowed slightly, before finally smiling and shaking his head, taking a seat next to her, close to her, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "Alright. Alright, Accept it. I'd likely just ruin it if I tried to figure it out I guess."
  67.
  68. Cordelia: She places her head down on his lap, smiling softly. "Maybe. I love you, Aregoth. Gods know that should be obvious enough, though." She peers out to the vast lake. "Thank you for following me. I wouldn't much liked to have been lonely here."
