AWCON, meaning Awareness Condition.
AW = Awareness
CON = Condition

Stage 1 = Highest Threat
Stage 5 = Lowest/No Threat

AWCON is related to the current illegal activity across San Andreas and/or all relevent outlieing countries. Before the threat level for each section is elevated, there will be a meeting between the San Andreas Police Department AWCON commitee (High Command and other selected employees). This meeting will determine the relevent course of actions to be taken if the threat level should be increased.

Gang Activity:

Golf 1
- Extreme level of activity. Frequent murders, high use of lethal weapons during "wars". Officers have been killed as a result of these activities. Extreme danger to the public.

Golf 2
- High gang activity, rival gangs at "war". Infrequent murders. Frequent brawls. Limited use of lethal weapons during "wars". High threat level to the public.

Golf 3
- Moderate gang activity, high amount of disturbance, robberies. Moderate threat to the public.

Golf 4
- Low gang activity, frequent robberies.

Golf 5
- No/low level of gang activity.

Submersive/Organised [Crime] Activity:

Oscar 1
Extreme level, little/no control over weapon/controlled substance (drugs) circulation. Frequent confirmed hits, frequent sabotages. Officers have been killed as a result of these activities.

Oscar 2
High level, frequent lethal and non-lethal assaults. High weapons/controlled substance (drugs) circulation. Confirmed organised contracts. Sabotages.

Oscar 3
Moderate level, infrequent lethal assaults. Moderate level of weapon/controlled substance (drugs) circulation. Possibly organised contracts.

Oscar 4
Low level, frequent non-lethal assaults and/or robberies. Low level of weapon/controlled substance (drugs) circulation.

Oscar 5
No/very low level of submersive activity. Very low level of weapon/controlled substance (drugs) circulation
