01 AM] Deek: I'll be straight up with you,  saying we should play another game as your first option when coming into the channel was the last thing I expected to hear.  As one of your officers I need to know if you want to play this game and lead this guild any more?

[1:06 AM] Deek: true.  it is a work in progress and change/hacks have been rampant but we need a leader that is willing to roll with the punches and lead in game.    You did a good job when shit was rolling but I really have not seen much of you to be honest.  I spend a lot of time in game and talking to you seems a rarity.

[1:08 AM] Deek: I mean it seemed to show your true motivation.  I get this game is frustrating but I am seriously questioning your dedication to this game and our continued efforts in it.  If you dont want to be in charge you should hand it off to someone that does want it.  We can change our tactics to adjust to the meta but this base building turtle up bullshit is boring.  everyone wants to be a pirate.

[1:09 AM] Deek: he has not been exercising that authority effectivly in my opinion.  If you are going to give away GM, do it.  people still look to you as the person in charge.  Dashra's authority seems limited and the guild still divided.

[1:12 AM] Deek: priorities, how to play the game, what to do.  Some want to build these never ending tower of babble projects and docks, others want to keep bases small and fuck shit up abroad.  No one is coordinating the efforts effectively so we are so scattered we are ineffective in everything we do.  We cant even defend our home properly.  our mortar towers were ill equipt and everyone is going to say it is everyone else job.  There is no real accountability.

[1:14 AM] Deek: you can promote everyone to officer you want.  with 15 people in charge it is real easy to point fingers to the guy next to you. 1/4 of our guild are officers...  Everyone has a job but no one is making sure those jobs are getting done. Half the time I have to hound folks to figure out what is done and what isnt.

[1:19 AM] Deek: I mean you are not expected to dream up everything,  just hear the opinions and make a call.  that is the leaders job as I see it.

[1:21 AM] Deek: exactly, it took the leader to organize, one voice people trust to tell them what to do.  anyone could have done it but you had the authority.

[1:23 AM] Deek: As far as Dashra goes I dont really get it either.  Maybe it is a personality thing, maybe he is not visible or vocal enough.  I mean I cant recall any single conversation I've ever had with him.  He is mediocre at best in terms of leadership.

[1:26 AM] Gromph: personally I think ive people just relaxed a little, the guild is actually doing quite well given the absolutely abysmal state of the game
[1:28 AM] Deek: I'm not really asking questions I guess.  Just telling you what I see as simply as I can.  From what I see this guild is floundering internally though we appear strong outwardly.  You and a lot of people are loosing interest.  It is going to fracture soon in favor of bigger or more organized guilds if something does not happen.  Playing vs cheaters and 3 am raiders is making that situation worse.   The rage seems to come and go in waves.

[1:29 AM] Gromph: trust me, ive been through at least 6 MMOs at this point

[1:30 AM] Deek: I've seen it a time or two myself.  These games always seem to be a loosing battle.  At least in this one you can live out of a ship and fuck up random plebs.  This sedentary base lifestyle is such a pain in the ass for a mid sized guild.  especially as scattered as we are.
