  1. Getting the new classes was an enormous grind where you had to play the same maps for special credits over and over and over again.
  2. Surely you remember the Sppt, Sppt II, Sppt II X credits and so forth? And the randomly dropping certificates? In fact, all of these credits dropped randomly, with only slight favortism shown to best performers; even if you use one unit only to clear a whole map by itself, there's no guarantee that unit will receive ANY special credits. You prefer RNG nonsense not based on your performance?
  3.
  4. The new classes are either
  5. 1) Merely upgrades to the same class; Veteran, Elite, etc.
  6. 2) Weapons that were just given to you in VC1 now turned into "classes" in VC2 for the sake of locking you behind the huge grind, like Mortarers and Flamethrowers
  7. 3) Extremely overpowered (not that it matters, given the game balance was a joke)
  8. 4) Extremely useless (what's the point of laying down mines when the enemy barely attacks you? What's the point of having a Medic in a game where gunfire never hurts? It's funny that in the developer interview they admitted they screwed up and made the Engineer class completely useless)
  9.
  10. And the tank customization was totally pointless because the APC with the flamethrower was the best unit in the whole game, and you get this combination in chapter 2. Even novices figured this out, because there's never a chance where your tank/APC will die, EVER, so why not go for the unit which can move the farthest, carry the most people, equip the most upgrades and do the most necessary damage? Not to mention that even if you wanted to experience the other tanks the game has to offer, moving them costs 2CP minimum as opposed to 1CP for the APC, and CP is everything in these games.
  11.
  12. Customization is only good when the customization actually gives you a viable separate method of playing the game, which is never the case for vehicles in VC2. There's something to be said when even fucking around with different configurations is completely pointless in a game, that's a rarity even for terrible games. For example, what's the point of equipping a Heavy Tank that can only move 10 feet and still can't kill an enemy tank in one shot, when you can just throw a lancer in an APC and drive behind it instead? Why equip a Medium Tank with a mortar weapon when driving up an APC with a Commando unit deployed is better? The game never gives you a chance to flex the other tanks muscle except for maybe that 1 mission out of 120 where you park the tank's ass on a base and don't move it.
