- "What, in the grand scheme of things, are some of the more immediate and severe hardships you've all faced, and what are your plans and ideals to immediately address those hardships?"
- --
- Simon: "For those who do not know. You do not actually own your house. Even the houses I 'own'. I do not own. You and I both just rent them out from the city. This is a big issue when it comes to reselling and trying to get some value out of your home. So I'll try my hardest to make it so you actually own your home. So you can sale your home, do what you want with said home."
- "Also another hardship, that most of Sudbury citizen face are the Order and the Watch. Myself included, with out giving you the rundown. Have been on the wrong side of the law. But most of the time it is not our fault. That is why I want to create Sudburys own Watch. A watch run by Sudbury for Sudbury, who'd hold jurisdiction in Sudbury."

- Timothy: "I ain't had much in the way of hardships here, least not in the physical sense. I could tell Y'about how I was homeless once, but there's a world of difference between a young Magi's Homelessness and the Homlessness O'the Common man."
- "No, M'Hardships here ain't been physical ones. They've been social. I look out My window and I see sufferin, I see people having to trudge through these damn streets. Or worse, sleep on 'Em. I see people so twisted up and miserable inside that they're willing T'give anything just t'stop it."
- "I'll do anything in my power T'fix that. Fer right now that means roads. Fer the future? There's no end of problems."

- Iris: "Immediate and severe hardships? In my experience in Sudbury, I've dealt with my fair share of hardships. Three are chief among them, two of which are of universal relevance to Sudbury. In my time here, I've suffered from the poor infrastructure and state of the houses. My own home has been leaking for the past three years in multiple places after rain, each patch up seeming to result in another leak springing up. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Should I be elected, I will be looking into as a matter of first priority the feasibility of renovating the residences in Sudbury into a standard worthy of being called livable."
- "Secondly, crime is rampant in the district, and has been since I was first here. The Syndicate are a relatively recent complication, but petty crime -theft and muggings- have been very much commonplace, and I've been a victim of such acts more than a few times. It is my intent should I be elected to both increase the presence of the watch in Sudbury -their new Commander is a fair man who is stamping down on in-house corruption and abuse of power- and attempt to stimulate the commcerce of the district to reduce the necessity of resorting to crime to support oneself in the first place." She glanced over at Simon, frowning slightly. "You talk about everyone owning their own house when you bought up most of the properties yourself to rent. Seems a little hypocritical. Oh, and an independent Sudbury watch would just become a Mayor's private army if they proved corrupt."
- "Roads are good, but if the houses aren't livable their ain't much reason to bother with them."

- Alythia Endore: "Now, as I had actually mentioned a short while ago, no, I admit that I'm not local, but from Messaris. I was promptly orphaned at a young age and had to take care of my younger aged siblings after the war, and I took on odd jobs like chopping trees, farming and cooking. I admit, it was easier to get out of poverty in a land of natural resources and fertile soil, not to mention it's cheaper than urban areas in general anyway."
- "But youths, young people, the young generation... should NOT be subjected to struggle." She stepped forward closer, declaring to the crowd of mostly slum dwellers. "They should not have to think of money, nor do they deserve to live life in the same quality, or worse, compared to their predecessors, the previous generations. My own family history is dark... but I was determined to change it. And like my household, I can and will bring forth sweeping change to Sudbury." She said as she lightly kicked the dirty, literally dirt filled ground. "Literally."
- "I also struggled with the lack of formal education. Yes, we're forced to self-teach ourselves things, most of us. For non-Magi, it is literacy; for Magi, it is magic." The Endore claimed. "It is a cycle which perpetuates itself, honestly, and I believe, truly, that education is the true solution to fight poverty. Throwing money at all problems without planning is merely a temporary fix..."
- "... If and when the academy is ever to open up again for enrollment, I will award scholarships to potential applicants, Sudbury only, so that they can actually afford the books, tuitions, and lessons. Because one mayor alone can't solve everything, not without the physical and mental support of their populace."
- "And I am determined to uplift the masses for good, not just using usual rhetorics like tax breaks for houses, better infrastructure..."
- "Thank you."
