Statement on Sound

Since this club was created, the most controversial issue unarguably has been sound’s place in the club. The early founders & I believed (pre-release) that sound would be largely passed off as the CC team seemed committed to a big-time nerf, and I figured most players would not want a repeat of TTR’s battle system. Honestly, I was shocked to see the scale in which it has been used since release. The focus of the discussion then shifted from usefulness to the practicality of its implementation. My worry has always been that it would create divisions inside the club. However valid that may be, I now realize that the other negatives far outweigh that one. We have become isolationist and it has put us in quite the bind with our recruitment. It is with this reality in mind that I make this groundbreaking rule change. I apologize to anyone who made their gag choices surrounding this rule. I have said repeatedly that I will do what’s best for the club; I make no exception here. Thank you.
