my name is xxxxxxxxx and I'm from France.
I'm writing because in some of your latest videos as well as on tweeter, you have talked about the actual bad behavior of some people and viewers in the gaming/YouTube community and we, as viewers, were able to feel that your mood was not so great. Therefore I thought about writing you a support message. Not from a friend to a friend but, as you have often mentioned it, from a happy and satisfied viewer to a content producer.

I would like to begin by telling you why did I chose to watch your content and why I am still watching it with interest. As a French man, English is obviously not my first language but I like it quite a lot and I am always trying to improve my English as much as possible. So, I was looking for content in English (British English if possible, as I was taking the Cambridge English exams at that time) to watch and, as I was watching some Starcraft II, I heard your name followed by the words "cynical British commentator". I was intrigued and went checking your YouTube page.

I think the first thing I watched from you was a Content Patch and it was great. Yes, great.
Why? It's simple : It is a well constructed show with pertinent news and interesting comments which are done in a unique way, your way. You are very direct, you are speaking bluntly while analysing the news from the player (and/or buyer) perspective each time. Of course, some people won't like it, but you must not change, your choice of words, your expressions, your analysis, these are you ! These are why people watch your content, that's why 1 171 902 (as the time of writing) people are subscribed to your channel !

Second, do not underestimate (even if the majority is silent, as always...) the usefulness of the content you produce. For example, now, when I want to buy a game, I wait for reviews AND for your WTF Is.. (if available/planned). These two kind of opinions are equal for me, as well as, I'm certain, for a lot of your viewers.  On top of that, the subjects you choose for your Content Patch are, most of the time, not treated in the gaming websites (French or Foreign) I read. And I think that's because you are choosing subjects which need analyzing and debates. And it's very interesting, once again it's great ! It's your way of looking at news, and it's fantastic.

Third, on the subject of the haters and stupid/hate messages you get, I am not going to tell you to ignore them as I know it is impossible. Indeed, I write scientific articles and I know how hard it is to see people furiously disliking what you have done or just bashing you.... Yes, it also exists in Science. No, what I would like to say is try to think about us, people who watch your content and enjoy it, day after day, month after month, people who enjoy each one of your Vlog or convention coverage. When I'm feeling blue because of some reviewer comments, I try to think about everything I've done so far, things I'm proud of, things people liked and it helped me.

Right now, I feel like a reader who knows that his favorite author is worrying about his next book and wants to helps or a least say "I'm here, I won't let you down !"

I know this message is not so much but I don't think (even if I would be willing to) I can do more to help.
