Then at that point he banned me from Vent. So I went to the forums, pulled his access then placed a perm ban on him so he couldn't go crazy there too.

I had Travis unban me from vent and also had him delete Vance's vent account. I also remove all of Vance's SA-MP Moderator access from every character I could find (and a couple I didn't know he had).

So right now Vance is banned from forums, vent, sa-mp, and about to be glined from IRC. At first I thought he was joking with the first thing he said then it became appearent he wasn't.




For your consideration, a word from Zig,

While I understand why Vance was banned, and agree, his behavior was childish. He wasn't the only one who broke a rule, Prince was out of line too, not saying he should be banned, but at least a smack. He did speak out and insult another admin, if I had done so to another mod, let's say Nathan, I would have my ass chewed. First by Nathan, then by a full admin or a lead admin, whoever got a hold of me first. Regardless of the situation, we should all be able to control our selves. Yes I do understand it is hard to shut our mouths sometimes, but it is a matter of self control.

The server is suffering, people are being allowed to break rules, and receive special treatment.
It is unfair to all of us, player and admin alike.


I cant say I let anyone break rules on my watch wether its admin or player, and no one receives special treatment from me (Apart from LAs  ) I would even say i can be a little bit too harsh sometimes.-JOE



I am not saying all of the admins let people go, in some cases things are allowed for one player that no other player could do. Let's say Xalphox, he was tolerated for too long before action was taken. It doesn't happen often, but it should not happen at all. It hurts feelings and leads to incidents such as this.

Unlike the people before me, Ratblood Joshua and Vance, I am not going to be a whiny bitch and get my self banned, I am simply pointing out a flaw I see in the team.-ZIG

It's one thing to "break a rule" it's something else to ban me of all people from Ventrilo, and to abuse IRC admin powers to ban everyone that was active in IRC.

The second part of this is he removed all the administrators from the Steam Community group page, changed all of our links and doesn't seem to want to give it back.

Vance has held this little grudge with Prince for longer than Prince has been on RP Mod trial, and longer than I ever became friends with him.

There has also been other situations. Vance at one time totally lost his moderator privledges for something stupid he did, and he's also almost lost it twice since then by me personally for damn near doing the same thing or something similiar to it.

I'm not ever going to give someone a 'smack' when they think they have the authority to permenantly remove me from a UGRP service (such as vent) nor am I going to keep them around when they totally friggen lose it and start mass banning community members as well from IRC.

It's one thing to rage and have a hissy fit at one person. But Vance's outburst was of a personal nature that had no bearing on UGRP itself, and the person in question simply didn't allow himself to be personally attacked without saying something.

If this had been another user, or non admin that Vance was picking on, the result would have ended up the exact same. Except I would have taken his IRC +o away from him and removed him down to +v, and then informed him he had no right to punish some one for making a come back to a personal attack, he started.

No offense guys but Vance got the response from he was deserved based on what he said, and had no real authority to punish anyone for it since he started it to begin with.

Now I told everyone to stop before I started banning everyone and Prince's replies after that where answers to questions Vance was asking.


So no he's not getting a 'slap on the wrist' for the following reasons:

1.) Starting the situation to begin with.
2.) Punishing someone in IRC for responding in kind with the above. (Baiting)
3.) Initiating punishment again after my client was the one removing the bans which was a moderator overriding a Lead Administrators authority.
4.) Mass banning community members who had nothing to do with the situation, which was 2 regular members, and 2 RP Moderators, (One of which was afk at the time and had nothing to do with the issue.)
5.) Overriding his authority as Moderator to remove me from Vent with a ban.
6.) Removal of Me and Adv, plus other administrators from the UGRP Steam Community page, then defaming the page in question by removal of the UGRP information and links and replacing it with something else which is actually in violation of both Steam's Terms of Service (inappropriate image links) AND the state of Kansas Crimes against property.

And I can tell you this, if we do not get the steam community page back I'm just gonna contact someone at the Topeka Police Department and let them know what one of there supposed cadets/former cadets is capable of as far as illegal activity because what he did with that steam page is actually against the law in Kansas.

Vance did this to himself. I told him if he was gonna get ragey and pissed off to just leave, the last time this kind of thing was going on.

I do not expect any admin of a lower rank to maintain any kind of respect for a higher ranking administrator when it's so obvious said higher ranking administrator goes out of his way to trash a lower ranking admin quite so publically.

Now I would bitch up a storm if Prince or anyone else just openly started attacking a higher ranking administrator without cause because that IS against the rules. Lower ranks must respect the rank above them, but as you can see there are limits to this.

If you have a problem with an administrator, you report it to Vinny, not harbor all of your hate inside then explode when they say something you may not like. What Vance did in short was just totally wrong, simply by instigating the fight to begin with.

I consider this matter closed.

As for what Zig mentioned with Administrators not following the rules, yes there is a problem with that in other areas. And trust me those are going to be dealt with very very soon.-JEFF





After sitting on the situation for a few hours, I do have to go with Jeff, and Zig as well. In all honestly, what would you guys do if you were tired of someone breaking your balls consistently in real life? Beat the shit out of them, right? Skids did the exact same thing, on an interwebs level. So cut the kid a little slack. Did Vance have a point? Maybe. Did he go about it the right way? Absolutely not.

And I'll say it myself. Skids has been doing a good job with RP Mod trials, no matter how much we know he's a brown noser, he's doing the job right.
