  1. Hakujou, Mirian brings Raisa's body into a small studio, repurposed for the sake of Mirian's surgery. Evidenced by the lack of bodies in the room, the Hakujou aims to undertake this task entirely on her lonesome.
  2.
  3. There are a handful of difficulties lain out before Mirian. To regard them lowly would be a fool's err, however. There is a trial of Human error. From the moment she cuts out Raisa's heart, the clock begins to tick. Mirian has six minutes to perform the procedure. Six minutes to preserve Raisa's life and resuscitate her from pseudo-death from the moment of extraction.
  4.
  5. Furthermore, extraction of the World Tree may simply extinguish Raisa on the spot. If their life forces are truly interconnected, then the process will certainly kill Raisa on the spot. This is Mirian's greatest 'fear', throughout the procedure. It is all too evident, that she does not significantly value Raisa's own life through all of this. From Raisa's perspective, Mirian may even just be testing herself through all of this.
  6.
  7. The procedure begins. Mirian is donned in some surgeon's garbs, apron, and mask. She clasps her hands together, filling the room with her essence down to the tiniest spaces in the corners. She pushes her cart aside, except for an empty tray. She will be performing most of this procedure with her bare hands. Once the metal floor has been cleaned entirely by the supplies Mirian wields with gestures of her head, she sets Raisa's body down on her chest in the center of the floor. Raisa is promptly put under anesthesia, to null out her senses for the procedure.
  8.
  9. A piece of charcoal begins to scrawl out seals upon the floor. A complex network of seals is spelled out, yet far more compressed than the norm. Mirian will be performing her ultimate healing technique during the surgery in it's most compact form. She has approximately six minutes for brain death to occur from the point she slices out Raisa's heart.
  10.
  11. Mirian begins preparation by taking a sample of Raisa's hair. She fixes them into a bundle, before promptly pressing the palm of her hand into Raisa's back, against the stump.
  12.
  13. "Anahata."
  14. Raisa's heart is engulfed in a green orb and extracted from the back of her torso. The branches of the parasite tree are presumably fused into her heart, forming a seemingly unbreakable bond between the two. Mirian will destroy this bond. Setting the essence-engulfed heart upon her tray, Mirian forms the essence scalpel betwixt her fingertips.
  15.
  16. Mirian works swiftly. The circulatory system and the heart are her little known fields of study. With a few precise moves, she cuts and seals off veins, arteries, and atria. The precise maneuvers of Mirian's hand skillfully disconnect the heart from Raisa's body, ceasing circulatory function and initiating the gradual death of her body if the removal of her parasite tree doesn't kill her first.
  17.
  18. Mirian sets aside the organ in the meantime. The second stage of the surgery follows suit. Utilizing her Anahata as a guiding point between Mirian's essence and Raisa's body, she begins the rapid conversion process of Raisa's hair cells. The process draws upon the complex formulae scrawled out beneath Raisa's body, using it as a guiding point to repair her missing heart. She begins to rebuild her cells, recreating cellular machinery and reconstructing a second heart for Raisa from scratch.
  19.
  20. If Mirian doesn't operate quickly enough, then Raisa will almost certainly expire. However, to expedite the whole procedure, Mirian is able to draw upon Raisa's essence as well as her own.
  21.
  22. Through the application of essence and the Anahata technique, Mirian should be able to restart Raisa's rebuilt heart. She will pump it with her hand, and infuse it with essence until it is shocked back into full potency.
  23.
  24. It is unknown if she can succeed in this surgery, however, every ounce of technique and knowledge Mirian has accumulated in medicine will be poured into attempting to prevail. She will succeed while minimizing the loss elsewhere.
