My name is Sif! I'm 8 years old, and like my grandma, I love sewing. This book is about Ebba, my best friend. I met her at the graveyard one day, and we've been friends since then! At first, Mom didn't let me keep her. After promising to do the dishes for a month, she let me keep her though. She's a golden spider by the way!

There are three boys who always bully me. Kewin, Loyd, and Baldr. Kewin is 3 years older than me, so he's big and intimidating. That's why I'm really glad I have Ebba. She's not very big, but Kewin is super afraid of her so he doesn't dare hit me.

<center><font color="#ff3838C0">Into Alby</font></center>
<br>
One day when I was walking home from the graveyard, the boys blocked the road and dared me to go to Alby Dungeon. They wouldn't let me go anywhere if I didn't.
<br><br>
When we got to the altar, I got cold feet and tried to run past them, but Kewin pushed me and I fell onto my butt. I dropped my bag, and all my fabrics and silks fell out onto the altar. Everything went wishy-washy and then I was inside Alby Dungeon.
<br><br>
When I came to, I couldn't find Ebba anywhere. I picked up my fabric and returned it to my bag and began looking for her. She was running down the stairs into the dungeon! I ran down the stairs to follow her.
<br><br>
Ebba was really fast, so it was hard to catch up. I ran and ran until her 8 fuzzy legs got tired. I think she got scared and panicked. But it was okay, I was with her now!
<br><br>
I looked around, and I realized that I'd run really far into the dungeon and was lost! But I had my trusty spider whacking stick that Mom told me to bring to the graveyard. Of course, I only hit bad spiders! Ebba's a good spider.
<br><br>
Trefor told me to be careful in here, but he always talks for so long so I don't really listen to him. I think he said something about chests once, so I tried opening one. That was a mistake.
<br><br>
All of a sudden, golden spiders surrounded me! They looked just like Ebba! I tried wacking them with my stick, but they were really strong and got right back up. One of them jumped me from behind and bit me, but Ebba protected me! She was very strong and defeated all the spiders all on her own!
<br><br>
Not long after, I began feeling dizzy. The only thing I remember after that is being carried in the arms of a strong handsome man in black armor.

When I woke up, I was in my bed. Mom and Baldr, with his big bald head, was sitting by my bed. Baldr told me he was sorry for bullying me before. Kewin and Loyd had run home without telling anyone, but he felt guilty and told Trefor that I'd gone in there.

Mom then hugged me. She was crying, and I was about to cry too. Then I noticed Ebba wasn't in her bed. She would always sleep in a doggy bed by my bed, but it was empty!
<br><br>
Trefor came in and told me that he'd spend the last several hours looking around in the dungeon, but he couldn't find Ebba anywhere. I started crying and Baldr hugged me too.

Baldr and I are good friends now. He likes sewing too, so we've made lots of clothes for my little brother! He's still inside Mom, and I can't wait to see him!

Sometimes I wonder what would've happened if Ebba wasn't there to protect me. What if Baldr ran away without telling anyone? I'm scared to think about it. I really miss Ebba, but mom told me that spiders are strong. When I grow up, I'm going to go into Alby and find Ebba. Maybe she'll have grown into a big strong spider!
