  1. Hi mpnet people,
  2.
  3. In 2010 Microsoft kindly gave permission for OpenStreetMap to use Bing imagery for editing purposes: https://blog.openstreetmap.org/2010/11/30/microsoft-imagery-details/
  4.
  5. For historic reasons I administer the Bing account under which OSM editing software gets its imagery. Now and then I get nastygrams saying that I've exceeded a usage limit and I may have to pay $$$.
  6.
  7. If you could set up the account such that the imagery remains available without usage limits kicking in, that would be terrific.
  8.
  9. The OpenStreetMap Foundation is constituted as a UK company so there's no 501.c(3) statement to refer to, but I'd hope the fact that it's the only one of four global geodata providers to make its data available under an open licence - and which we're delighted to see Microsoft using as a primary data source in Australia and elsewhere - is evidence enough. :)
  10.
  11. All the best
  12. Richard
