  1. Sorry about the delay. There's been a lot of discussion
  2. internally about red policies. It's been stated by every
  3. side there has not been consistencies in our rulings which I completely
  4. agree with and is not fair to the player base.
  5.
  6. So, what I'm about to tell you is coming from Sirken,
  7. Braknar, Llandris and Myself. This wasn't a 10 minute conversation, it
  8. was pretty involved.
  9.
  10. We wish to follow a very simple guideline, if it can be solved with PVP, then
  11. use PVP.
  12.
  13. We will not penalize players for ninjalooting while in range. There are
  14. no exceptions for raids. It is up to the guilds to get the loot taken care of.
  15. This is not blue where you have the luxury of the corpse rot duration as the
  16. limiting factor on loot distribution.
  17.
  18. Training and Hacking may be handled with blanket suspensions, if the offense is egregious and
  19. obvious. We do still hit people for training by accident given they are responsible. A blanket
  20. suspension/ban could include shared logins, association or guild. We tell folks,
  21. don't share your accounts, it's on you if your account get suspended or banned because
  22. someone decided break rules. Victims of training must provide solid video proof of the training.
  23. In some cases we will punish other involved players if the evidence is clear they knew
  24. training would be used as a tactic beforehand.
  25.
  26. Since you'll ask, what if you get trained at the end of a mob fight? We see
  27. these as two seperate issues. For the loot, my best advise is that the
  28. raid leader should throw out names to loot ASAP or have loot figured out before
  29. the fight, it's 2018, everyone knows the loot tables. For the train, have fraps/obs
  30. running, do a /who and try to /assist a training mob while it's happening. This
  31. must all be recorded in a clear video, fuzzy/pixalated will no longer be accepted.
  32. When you create a forum petition list the names of the players that belong to your raid
  33. party, some may be unguilded.
  34.
  35. We as staff reserve the right to hand out punishments as we see fit. If
  36. we feel a player has commited an offense that is really really shitty,
  37. we could follow the standard 7, 14, 28, or we could double it, straight
  38. to a ban or a blanket suspension/ban on all logged in accounts or involved
  39. accounts.
  40.
  41. Help us, help you. When you do petition, present your evidence as clear as possible,
  42. take the emotion out of it. You may not agree or like every ruling we make but we
  43. will do our best to be consistent. This includes clearly encoded video, play by plays,
  44. screenshots and a brief description of what happened. Don't flood us with a novel.
  45.
  46. Hopefully, there will be less need for staff intervention with the heavy handed punishments
  47. along with less drama because of these methods.
  48.
  49. With all of that, there are a few outstanding petitions we are going to work though.
  50. Some are recent, some are months old. I'll be commenting and closing the recent
  51. ones soon(like this one), the old ones I'll commenting with this body of text or state they are
  52. too old to be valid. For the ninjalooted items we are going to handle them as I have stated above.
  53. I'm hoping with some clarity we can resolve your petitions quicker and more consistently.
