  10. Do you have any prior experience with STALKER roleplay? If so, do you have any experience as a trader?:
  11. I would say I have a bit of experience in SRP, I played extensively on Taconbanana's last two iterations of stalker roleplay. More specifically from about 2012-2014 and 2016-2017. Although I have made an attempt at roleplaying on other servers that have cropped up, none have sparked a large interest in me until I saw the work put into CC-Revival's server. That being said, stalker roleplay is perhaps my most enjoyed setting thus far of any of the mainstream Garry's Mod roleplay servers and decent servers are far and few between.
  12.
  13. On TnB I had experience as a trader, but I was never one explicitly. I was rostered as an ecologist at one point and besides the usual science roleplay, I engaged in a fair amount of trading with stalkers, but only ever for artifacts or quest items i.e documents/gps trackers. I have also been a high ranking officer in Duty and served as the front man for dealing with loners as the trader and as the quartermaster for in-faction dealings, even going so far as to lead the faction as Captain for a short period of time.
  14.
  15. But nay, I was never a trader.
  16.
  17. How long have you played at CC-Revival?:
  18. I dabbled a little bit in the Hl2RP server, but I never really got in at a time where there seemed to be anything interesting going on. I have only played a short time on the stalker server but I've enjoyed myself thus far.
  19.
  20. Character Name:
  21. Shandra Bee-Lover.
  22.
  23. What faction is your character trading for:
  24. The loner faction, although she has a liking for the more black of heart.
  25. Why do you wish to be a trader?:
  26. I wish to be a trader on CC-Revival because out of all my experiences in the various stalker servers throughout the years, I have explored every one of the main factions or professions barring technician and trader. Although I do not feel as if I have hit a dead end in the other avenues of roleplay, I most certainly wish to start a storyline focused around a character who will for the most part be an integral part in the workings of the Zone. I want to facilitate roleplay from not just an OOC position of power, but an IC one.
  27. What brought your character to the Zone?:
  28. Shandra is a criminal. That much should be assumed for any denizen of the Zone. A woman who was born in the Soviet Union at the time was to be set down a forced path of labour for what the State determined was necessary. Shandra fulfilled her duties as a communist and spent much of her youth and adolescence as a nurse working at a hospital in Kiev. All was well until the collapse of the Soviet Union and the sudden shift of life for her. No longer a Soviet, Shandra lost a sense of self and as the economy of the now independent Ukraine plummeted she was put on the spot to decide her future.
  29.
  30. Being in her late 20's and independent from her parents, she turned to the criminal underworld which was now boiling over into everyday life. Like many others, she fell into the ranks of the criminal world and between paying bills with money gathered from selling her body or patching up others', she came to accept it. She always told herself that she would return to a normal life when Ukraine returned to a stable foundation, but she never did. Years passed and she moved up from being an escort to acting as an accomplice for robberies and heists until eventually her beauty dried up and she acted as a peddler and money handler for the mob she was rolling with.
  31.
  32. With her youth gone and no sentimental attachments to hold her to her home, she was offered a position in the dangerous Zone to move black market goods in and out for a profit. A profit that she was allowed to keep a cut of. It was an offer too good to give up.
  33. Where does your character source their supplies?:
  34. Shandra relies on an outside source for her sales and goods, a small front business in the heart of Kiev where many of the faceless goons she'd assisted throughout her life smuggled weapons and other desirable baubles to be further pushed either to the lower rung of the criminal class or high stake mercenary armies operating within Europe and the Middle East.
  35.
  36. The specifics of the smuggling is simple. A truck is sent from Kiev to the border of the Zone, where a few friends within the Ukrainian Military are given a generous donation from some innocent tourists who wish to see the radioactive ruins of Chernobyl. Of course, the donation's a bribe and the truck isn't full of tourists wishing to see the Zone but rather a hefty amount of illegal weaponry and goods.
  37.
  38. Of course, the truck always leaves just as full as Shandra makes a pretty penny by mingling with the stalker population.
  39.
  40. How do you plan on running your day-to-day operations as a trader, and what sorts of jobs do you see yourself hosting for people?:
  41. Shandra is going to be a more gritty version of your average loner trader. Toeing the line between bandit and loner, she deals with a lot of grey-area in her dealings. There is going to be a lot of jobs where stalkers are to pick up a shipment which is heavily locked up and suspiciously not marked with anything pertaining to Shandra or her crew and other similarly brow-raising requests. Although Shandra will never explicitly admit to her deeds being dirty, she avoids accusations like the plague and is more than happy to just throw more money at someone than deal with them.
  42.
  43. Of course there will be the usual loner jobs and such for day-to-day activities, the grey area events will be more of an infrequent occurrence to spice things up. That said, I wish to avoid artifact jobs as being the focal point of Shandra's career as I feel they have been played out so much over the years. I aim to give jobs that most average Joe's are able to do, without requiring extensive knowledge on anomalies, artifacts and mutants. My jobs will be focused about human interaction which is the strong point of the stalker universe.
  44.
  45. Do you understand that traders are a necessity to the Zone's economy and roleplay?:
  46. Yes. They're perhaps more important to the health of the server than administrators.
  47. Additional Information:
  48. I may transition Shandra from being loner-orientated to straight up bandit orientated if any of her shindigs are found out by smart stalkers, but that is only a back-up plan as I hope to keep my jobs fairly tame and outside the realm of the straight up bandits. I wish to create scenarios which can cause a sense of morality in the Zone and hopefully cause people to choose greed and selfishness over the usual white knighting that seems to plague many roleplay servers.
