Topic: Meiro is being harassed inside Nijisanji
She's SEEMINGLY about to leave Nijisanji. She stopped streaming and her channel icon is deleted. Her management probably has control of her channel now. Furthermore, according to insider info, her contract is about to be ended and an official statement is being prepared.
Summary of old news:
Meiro's way of speech is similar to Roa's. Roa, seemingly mad about Meiro copying her, made indirect tweets to show her apparent dissatisfaction with Meiro.
The copying cannot be 100% confirmed to be true. Narukami himself thinks Meiro in fact did not copy Roa because the differences in speech are stronger than the similarities. He thinks that you can't blame people for thinking that it might be the case, however.
Additionally, they didn't have each other followed. Roa, thinking that Meiro copied her, told this to her management. Management acted and told Meiro to stop using her way of speech.
A screenshot of Meiro pinging every fellow Nijisanji member who was present at the moment was made. In this post, she mentioned she was told to stop her way of speech from literally the next stream on after asking if she could receive time to adapt. Basically, she received a warning and informed other members she was close with.
Multiple older members gave her advice. There is exactly one older member who, instead of replying in the channel, messaged her through DMs saying that Roa was the one who caused the warning by management.
Narukami has a screenshot of that but will not disclose it for now to keep it as an "ace up his sleeve" in case Ichikara will use an official statement to deny its truth. Meiro received additional scolding for exposing her management in front of everyone. (this is very ironic)
From mid June to August, Meiro kept using her way of speech due to being too used to it and tried to talk to her manager about it. Management pretended to understand her and invited her to a "Hearing" meeting including 4 people: Meiro, her manager, head of office, and one staff.
"If you do not stop that way of speech, Roa will quit. You too will not be able to collab or get sponsorships anymore."
Meiro's way of speech is the way it is because that's actually how she talks. From her PoV, she is being forced to be someone she is not through dirty threats. As a result, she feels doubts about whether Nijisanji is a good place to be in. Her activity in August noticably decreased.
Roa, through the management again, requested Meiro to state which prefecture and location her way of speech is from. She should just use that way of speech then since Meiro's way of speech is apparently fabricated and not a real thing.
Meiro, still doubting why she has to take orders from Roa like that, and why she has to take the risk of offering RL info about herself, accepted those terms.
Mid August, Roa started messaging Meiro mid-stream. They were actually forbidden to contact each other by management.
September, people clipped when Narukami talked about the topic previously, and it apparently had some influence on things.
From Meiro's PoV, people were wondering whether her way of speech was a copy. On top of that, Roa kept messaging her and she kept making indirect tweets about Meiro.
Meiro wanted to take a break due to all these things from September 4 to 24. She asked for an official statement to be made. Management objected to the official statement and things kept continuing behind the scenes. Meiro will do a comeback stream on September 24.
She made a deal with her manager and staff that she would talk things out with her viewers. The actual content didn't talk directly about the drama. At one point, she said "it's not the fault of management or haters" to which viewers replied "so it's another Vtuber's fault?"
1 week after the comeback stream, the management told her her stream content went against the contract and they forced her to stop her activities. She said "I got permission from my manegement though" to which there is no proof of, therefore she couldn't make a case for herself. There is no proof whether she received permission or not so either side has no real case.
Narukami says that Meiro's PoV is basically: Right after my debut my right to collab and sponsorships were stripped, I was threatened and forced to do things. I was put into a bitch fight with other fellow members. I received shit on twitter and elsewhere. I took a break and was also forced to take one. I'll quit.
