  1. >Staying up late in a secluded part of your uni studying for midterms
  2. >suddenly a crash rings out pulling you out of your books
  3. >investigating you find a strange figure huddling in the corner with strips of clothing and fallen books scattered around it
  4. >asking if they're alright you turn on the main lights and suddenly jump back
  5. >the thing in the corner wobbly tries to get up purple hands holding a tattered hoodie around a face that seems to be stretching out the fabric
  6. >a pair of bright yellow eyes peek out from under the hood betraying an expression just as shocked as your own
  7. >telling yourself its just a costume or a prank gone wrong you once again ask if their alright steping forward to help them up
  8.
  9. >with a yelp they leap towards you kicking what looks like a half eaten cookie under a nearby desk sending the remains of a ruined shoe with it
  10. >they stand there a moment panting heavily before running out the door knocking you aside
  11. >before they can get very far they seem to trip over their own feet sending them head first into a bookshelf
  12. >you rush over to help them up pulling the hoodie off their head
  13. >you stare in disbelief at the thing in front of you, what you thought was a mask connects seamlessly with their neck not showing any signs of a zipper or strap
  14. >your brain can't exactly process what its seeing but you know somethings wrong you pull out your phone and hit the emergency call button.
  15.
  16. >a hand shoots up, painfully grabbing your wrist causing you to drop your phone.
  17. >you try to move away but the thing holds on tight, panicking you start to struggle kicking at the thing untill it lets go sending you falling back on your ass.
  18. >you quickly scramble up ready to run but you notice the creature seems to be focused on its own hands
  19. >in a stammering raspy voice the creature started to talk
  20.
  21. >"I'm sorry I guess I don't know my own strength anymore, but please don't call anyone. I'm...I'm not having a very good night"
  22. >you look down at them the shock finally starting to set in
  23. >thick purple scales covering a reptilian head, deep yellow eyes with siltted pupils, a long mean looking face with powerful jaws full of razor sharp fangs, and the strength to nearly break your wrist with one hand
  24. >you've just met a monster
  25.
  26. >after a few seconds of desperately thinking of how to respond to what you're seeing you come to the conclusion standing there like a deer in headlights is the easiest option
  27.
  28. > noticing how close you are to freaking out the purple thing in front quickly continues
  29.
  30. > My name is Alex I'm not going to hurt you so please uh please don't loose it over there I'm not sure I could handle anything else tonight
  31.
  32. >casting a cautious glace around the the room you do your best to collect your self, finally you manage to ask "Alex" just what the hell is going on
  33.
  34. >I can't really explain it, but I'm not some monster! I..I just came here to study. The guys where I live are always partying, so so so I'm always here and I found a old box of cookiessuretheywerestalebutI've beeneatingthemallweekbuttonightI startedtofeelweridso I..I..I.......
  35.
  36. >you notice he's looking down at his hands again nostrils flareing as his rambling fades into a series of panicked wheezes
  37.
  38. >you think he's trying to cry
  39.
  40.
  41. >you carefully shuffle over to the
  42. panicked creature still not sure what to think
  43.
  44. >you gently put your hand on his shoulder shaking them a little and awkwardly saying its going to be okay
  45.
  46. >It seems to work as they look up at you their alien looking face doing its best to tell you just how out of it they are right now
  47.
  48. >remembering just how sharp those fangs look you quickly pull your hand back while trying to keep a cool expression
  49.
  50. >You ask if there is anything you can do, do they need to go to the hospital, do they know anyone that can help, The creature...Alex stops you
  51.
  52. >"I honestly just want to go home and go to bed, I'm still hoping this is all a dream and that"....he pauses for a moment
  53.
  54. >do you think I could stay with you for the night? I'm really sorry but I don't want to be in my room alone tonight.
  55.
  56. >not really thinking about it you agree and offer him a hand, I takes him nearly five minutes to stedy himself and start walking with you
  57.
  58. >you run out front making sure no ones around before whispering for him to follow taking things step by step untill you're on one of the more shadowy paths up to your dorm
  59.
  60. >as you walk the wind picks up blasting you in the face and making your ears feel like they're about to fall off
  61.
  62. >something slams into your back, nearly knocking you over. Exasperated you turn around and see Alex looking as miserable as he's been all night
  63.
  64. >I'm so sorry, I can't feel my feet
  65.
  66. >he starts to apologize again but you can tell he's having trouble even talking, you wrap you arm around him and push him the rest if the way
  67.
  68. >you make it rushing him past the abandoned RA desk and up to your room
  69.
  70. you practically sprint into your room silently praying no one saw you. You shut the door as quietly as you can before turning to check on your cold companion.
  71.
  72. >He's already looking better in the heated space you assume this means hes cold blodded and judging by the worried look on his face he must be thinking the same thing
  73.
  74. >Thank you so much man, I don't know what I would have done without you I hope I'm not ruining your night or anything
  75.
  76. >you tell him its all good and offer him some snacks while you go clean up and think about what to do next.
  77.
  78. >Alex nods greatfully taking a can of peanuts off your shelf and slouching down next to your bed
  79.
  80. >you pop back in after a few minutes to ask if Alex needs a washcloth or something only to find him passed out the can of peanuts laying empty in his lap
  81.
  82. >after nudging him a few times you realize he's definitely out cold. With a huff you just barely manage to lift the poor kid into your bed.
  83.
  84. >you eye him up and down one last time and it really looks like he's not human. the purple scales cover his whole body, his arms and legs end in large leathery looking paws tipped with long black claws.
  85.
  86. >you briefly wonder if this was all some trick to eat you while you slept but you quickly push those thoughts aside
  87.
  88. >letting out a sigh you fold your jacket into a makeshift pillow and sit down at your desk. The last thought you have before falling asleep is that you hope his claws don't tear up your bed
  89.
  90. <you wake up the next morning with the sun in your eyes and a krick in your neck. You grumble to yourself about falling asleep at your desk when last nights events come flooding back to you.
  91.
  92. >you spin around in your chair to find your scaly guest still fast asleep wrapped in a cocoon of your sheets
  93.
  94. >not wanting to wake him you quietly go about your morning routine making sure to leave a note letting Alex know he can help himself to anything in your room untill you get back.
  95.
  96. >unsurprisingly you find focusing in class nearly impossible. Your mind constantly wandering back to the gaint purple lizard man you have living in your room and what the hell you're going to do about it.
  97.
  98. >finally after what seems like forever you make your way back to your room snagging some food from meal hall on your way.
  99.
  100. >you check up and down the hallway making sure no ones looking before quickly opening and running in.
  101.
  102. >you survey your room and to your surprise everything seems normal, nicer than normal in fact. Your beds made, your left out laundry is folded and resting on your dresser even your books have been organized
  103.
  104. The only thing out of place is the 6 foot tall lizard laying on a sunny spot on the floor, a long black tounge lolling out of its muzzle.....all while completely nude
  105.
  106. > You jump back out of your room slamming the door behind you. Dispite everything you can't help but smile at the surprised hissing coming from behind your door.
  107.
  108. >Finally when things go quiet you slide back inside. Alex now dressed in some of your older clothes immediately runs up to you and starts blurting out an apology
  109.
  110. >oh my god I'm so sorry! I was just cleaning and then the sun hit me and it felt soooo good so I just sorta stood there and..
  111.
  112. >You tell Alex he's rambling agian and that everything's fine you had a roommate last semester and unexpected walk ins were a weekly occurrence.
  113.
  114. >looking relieved he follows you over to you bed and sits next to you
  115.
  116. >I wanted to show you something he says pulling a slightly batterd cell phone out of his pocket. I managed to hold on to this and I thought I should at least show you what I used to look like. With some difficulty from his new claws Alex manages to flip through his old photos finally landing on a slightly out of focus shot of a young man.
  117.
  118. >He's not too bad looking a bit in the skinny side but not out of shape by any means. Dispite his shaggy brown hair needing a trunk he appears pretty well put together. He's wearing the same hoodie you found him in
  119.
  120. >Its the only picture I have of myself. My mom took it when I first got here I never was much into selifes you know so this is all I have left with me right now.
  121.
  122. >Noticing a change in his tone you start to try and comfort him but he quickly composes himself leaning back on your bed
  123.
  124. >I think I miss my hair the most
  125.
  126. the two of you can't help but smile at the absurdity of the situation. Pulling out your own phone to check your messages, you ask Alex how his day was.
  127.
  128. >Not the worst believe it or not I spent all day on the phone talking to everbody I could. My parents never picked up but I was able to get a hold of my professors. I changed all my courses around and moved to night classes. My major is going to have to wait but at least I stay in school.
  129.
  130. >you look up from your phone telling Alex you're impressed with how on top of things he is
  131.
  132. >well it helped take my mind off things for a bit and I can't just give up. I won't accept that my life is over now. I don't know what's going to happen but just making some short term plans and goals helps me believe I can get past this.
  133.
  134. >You tell him you've been thinking about his situation as well and you have soon concerns. Not only is it the middle of winter he has to keep himself hidden at all times.
  135.
  136. >And it wouldn't be healthy to stay locked in room living off scraps for two months so they need to think of something.
  137.
  138. >with a toothy grin Alex pushes himself up. Grabbing one of your spare heavy coats and a peice of his torn up hoodie he froms a makeshift disguise.
  139.
  140. >see? he says in s muffeld voice, as long as I keep my nose down and avoid any lights on my face eyes I should be fine!
  141.
  142. >you tell him you still have your concerns, what about his feet and hands? And the weather a single jacket might not be enough.
  143.
  144. >don't worry about it I have a pair of insulated waders and oversized work gloves my claws should still poke through but as long as no one gets too close to me it should work.
  145.
  146. >you nod your head approvingly and ask if he needs help getting back to his own room.
  147.
  148. >Alex looks at you sheepishly. Yeah about that, I agree I can't just stay inside all day and even with evening class I still need to get out some..
  149.
  150. >finally after a bit of fidgeting he comes out and says it. Would you mind walking with me.........like.....everywhere?
  151.
  152. You have to process that for a minute.
  153. >Now not only are you presumably going to have to hide a monster in your room for the foreseeable future but you're going to have to sacrifice your evenings marking sure he doesn't freeze to death?
  154. >you almost say no but you stop yourself at the last second. This guy has nowhere to go and nothing to do. He's lost so much and you're the only friend he has right now. You can't just leave him out in the cold.
  155. >you tell Alex you could use the exercise anyway and the you're happy to be his escort
  156. >Thank you! Thank you so so so much! I know this can't be easy and I'll totally find someway to make it up to you!
  157. >You doubt that but still it feels nice helping someone out like this.
  158. >Alex goes back to rummaging through your hamper pulling out a key and tossing it too you.
  159. >Here this is the key to my place. I live at that run down looking white house just across the street from the student union building.
  160. >I'm sharing the place with a bunch of guys who live downstairs but we almost never talk. They probably don't even know I'm gone.
  161. >Okay just go up the stairs and look for the green door, everything else is storage so it shouldn't be too hard to find my room. The gloves and boots are at the foot of my bed, oh and would you mind grabbing my labtop too?
  162. >you nod pulling on your Jacket and backpack heading for the door. Alex thanks you one last time as you set out. You put the key in you pocket and jog outside
  163. >it only takes you a few minutes of walking to find the place. Noticing all the lights out you tiptoe up the porch praying you aren't about to wake anybody up.
  164. >right as you are about to take out the key a gust of wind blows through, with a loud creek the door swings open on its own leaving you staring into the dark house.
  165.
  166. slowly you inch your way into the house
  167. >whoever these guys are they sure love to party, you think to yourself as you peek into the living room
  168. >the place is completely trashed, the couch lies in ruins with stuffing poking out of multiple long gashes in its side, the cracked flatscreen tv is currently wrapped up in what you think is a deflated air mattress in the corner, and there's even a dented cookie tray sticking out of the wall.
  169. >you honestly would have assumed the place had been broken into if it wasn't for the massive pile of beer cans and liquor bottles littering the floor.
  170. >shaking your head you head up the stairs still making an effort to stay quiet.
  171. >you find Alex's room pretty fast and get to work finding what he needed.
  172. >you pick up the boots and gloves and slide them into your backpack and then go looking for his computer
  173. >you're a bit taken aback by how empty the room is. There not a single scrap of decoration or clutter in sight and a thin layer of dust seems to cover everything but the bed.
  174. >you have to wonder if Alex was some kind of shut in before any of this even happened
  175. >eventually you find the laptop under a neat stack of papers on the bedside table, as you pick it up you notice a phone charger laying nearby and grab that too.
  176. >as you head back down stairs you knock somethingoff the banister sending it smacking down the steps.
  177. >grimacing you freeze in place. When it no one comes running you hop down the stairs to see what you just broke.
  178. >to your relief its just a bag of cookies. Your stomach takes this time to remind you you never had dinner.
  179. >after mulling it over for a bit you grab a handfull but a pang of guilt forces you to just take one.
  180. >you shove it in your pocket and walk back out into the cold closing the door behind you
  181. >
  182.
  183. walking back up to your room you smell something familiar as you get close to your dorm
  184. >walking in you find Alex sitting at you desk a huge shit eating grin on his face
  185. >guess what I got he says in a sing song voice as he slowly pulls two steaming cups of instant ramen out from under your desk.
  186. >dropping your bag and jacket you ask him where in the hell did he find those
  187. >holding one of the cups up to his face he takes a big huff of the steam and smiles at you. It was easy dude!
  188. >there was two guys sitting in thier room stoned out of this world. They just had a huge stash of this stuff sitting next to them and I asked to borrow some.
  189. >you're about to ask what the hell,he was doing outside but you're too hungry to really care. You gratefully take a bowl and go sit down on your bed kicking your shoes off and getting comfy
  190. >you try taking a sip of the soup but its pipeing hot, looking over at Alex you see him awkwardly trying to fit his new face into the tiny plastic bowl
  191. >laughing you run downstairs to grab some plastic forks. Handing one to Alex he joins you back on your bed and you two enjoy your meal in peace.
  192. >later its all you can do to force the sleepy lizard to go brush his teeth gladly letting him take your extra tooth brush
  193. >as you clean up you remember the cookie in your pocket. Taking it out you're about to take a bite when a thought crosses your mind
  194. >were you really just about to eat a cookie you took from the set of animal house?
  195. >you wrap it in a tissue and lay it on your desk planning to ask Alex if his housemates were into drugs and shit in the morning
  196. >you go and get ready for bed finding your new roommate already curled up under the covers letting out soft hisses with each breath. Swallowing your pride you say fuck it to spending the night at your desk laying down next to your friend you switch off the lights and drift to sleep
  197.
  198. You wake up with something slimy dpring down your face. Yoir eyes flutter open and you slide your face out from under Alex's muzzle.
  199. >He's a pretty clam sleeper for the most part but with a head that big it doesn't take much
  200. >you think about waking him up but you remember he starts night classes today so you leave him be
  201. >realizing you're about to be late you toss on some cloths grab a granola bar and rush out the door giving Alex a quiet goodbye.
  202. >after a few hours of learning plus a little more trying to figure out how to draw a contour map for air pressure you start the trec back home
  203. >as you enter your section you notice your door is what and there seem to be people in your room.
  204. >before you can say anything something grabs you from behind pulling you into the bathroom.
  205. you can barely see in the bathroom the steam is so thick. When the door clicks shut your attacker lets you go running over and flipping the lock.
  206. >waving your hand around to clear some of the steam from in front of your face you see Alex wrapped in a towel and with your flip flops awkwardly dangling from his big purple feet.
  207. >sorry about that dude I just stepped out to take a short shower and when I peeked back out there were people going in the room.
  208. >judging by the fact the small space is more like a sauna than a bathroom you're pretty sure it was more than a short shower but decide not to bring it up.
  209. >you tell Alex to stay put and dry off while you go see what's going on
  210. >you walk up to your door where a friendly voice greets you
  211. >Hey there Anon!
  212. >you turn to see Grace your section RA coming up to you. While she's about a head shorter than you she's two years your senior and dispite a reputation for being a bit of a party girl she's probably the nicest RA in the building.
  213. >You say hey back and ask what's going on as two RAs you don't recognize leave your room.
  214. >oh yeah! We finally got a new cover for the mattress your roommate ruined. Sorry about the wait on that by the way.
  215. >you let out a sigh of relief, not only are you not being raided for harboring a monster you finally have a place for him to sleep.
  216. >you thank her profusely and she laughs back at you
  217. >don't mention it! We should have had it ready weeks ago anyway.
  218. >well I'll leave you to it then she says starting back down the hall. If you need anything else you know where to find me!
  219. >you give a a thumbs up and wait for her to get out of sight before going back and signaling Alex he can come out.
  220. >he rushes in and you shut the door standing watch while he gets dressed
  221. >after a few minutes you walk in pausing as you see Alex still shirtless standing over your desk looking at something in his hands with a worried expression
  222. in a hushed tone Alex asks where you got this holding the cookie you swiped in the air for you to see
  223. >you shrug as you drop off your stuff telling him you found at his place and he can have it if he wants it.
  224. >He opens his mouth like he's about to say something but instead holds the cookie up to his face taking an experimental sniff
  225. >Alex walks over to the garbage can but instead of throwing it away he stops and turns back to you with a creepy grin.
  226. >you ask what the matter is when he lunges tackling you to the ground. You push yourself out from under him and try to stand only for him to jump on your back knocking the wind out of you and spinning you around.
  227. >you see him looming over you maw agape in a horrific smile. You think he's going to bite your head off when he instead brings the cookie up to your lips
  228. >come on anon he growls, you really gotta try this
  229. >mouth closed tight you struggle against him but he's strong way to strong for you to win.
  230. >With your free hand you desperately grope for anything that can can help finally grabbing on to your water bottle and pulling out of your backpack.
  231. >Alex seemingly getting frustrated starts to force the cookie into your mouth. Seriously Anon I really REALLY don't want to hurt you so just take a bite!
  232. >you don't have enough leverage to hit him with the bottle so you pop the top off and throw the cold water into his face.
  233. >immediately his grip loosens and you frantically crawl away from him trying to catch your breath
  234. >he looks down at you then at the cookie in his hand, running to the window he swings it open throwing away the small brown disk as hard as he can
  235. >he slowly sinks to the ground next to the open window as a chilly breeze flows through the room
  236. what the fuck man! Like seriously what the fuck? You shout still catching your breath
  237. >Alex remains silent a look of dread on his face
  238. >there's a knock on your door. Hey anon everything okay in there? you hear Grace ask
  239. >looking down at Alex you question every life choice you've made up till now before finly responding.
  240. >you tell her everythings fine and that you just knocked some stuff off your shelf. You wait till you hear her walking away before going over and shutting the window.
  241. >you slap Alex across the the back of his scaly head and demand to know what just happened
  242. >he shudders refusing to look you in the eyes.
  243. >I..I...I'm so sorry anon I don't know how to explain it I just....I think I was trying to make you like me
  244. >I should have told you sooner I should have given you some warning I've been getting these ...........urges
  245. >you ask him to elaborate
  246. >it started the first day you brought me back. I....he mumbles something under his breath
  247. >you hold up your water bottle threateningly
  248. >he looks up at you shivering. I ate a bird man
  249. >what!?
  250. >when I was cleaning, it landed on the windowsill. A big crow, I think it wanted food. I just sorta looked at it and the next thing I knew the window was open and I had feathers sticking out of my mouth.
  251. >you ask why he never told you
  252. >I didn't want you to be afraid of me. You've been so nice too me when anyone else would have cut and run. I siding want to ruin that.
  253. >shaking your head you ask if hes had any other "urges"
  254. >yes but its weird. I feel like I need to be near other people but also hide from them? And when I'm with you I just can't help but think about how warm you are how....how human you are. When I had that cookie in my hands it made everything seem so clear like I HAD to make you eat it, like I was helping you, like it was a good thing!
  255. >with that he curls back up into a ball on the floor
  256. >I'm sorry I really can't explain it he whimpers
  257. you sit down next to him putting an arm around his shoulders. After a few minutes of being close to you he starts to calm down
  258. >eventually he brings himself to look at you again. You smile and ask if he still wants to go to class tonight
  259. >Alex perks up
  260. >Are you serious? After all that? I can't....
  261. >you pat him on the back reasureingly letting him know you trust him and that you think this would be good for him
  262. >after a moments hesitation he nods and you help him to his feet.
  263. >it takes a second for him to pull his disguise together but when he's done you have to admit that it would be pretty hard to tell anything was weird from a distance.
  264. >you hand him your back back telling him he can use the back of your note books to write stuff down
  265. >he greatfully takes it swinging it around his back. You two then walk out arm and arm to meet the cold winter evening.
  266. >you make it about 30 outside when you notice Alex start to slow down. You nudge him a bit asking how's he doing, when you get no response you unzip your own jacket and press yourself into him. You keep going for a little bit more but when you look back tobakex you notice his eyes have glazed over and you swear you can feel his heartbeat slowing down
  267. >panicking you pull your arm out of jacket rolling your sleve up and running your hand up under Alex's cloths to reach his bare back.
  268. >you run your hand up and down his smooth backscales doing your best to generate some friction and keep him going
  269. >this seems to do something and after what seems like forever you make it to you destination
  270. >getting inside you check again to see how Alex is doing. He gives you two clawed thumbs up and wobbles off to class nearly tripping down some steps
  271. >you shake your head and take a seat in the lobby
  272. as you wait your mind begins to wander
  273. >dispite your positive show back in the room you can't help but be worried for both yourself and your new friend
  274. >you know this can't last forever, sooner or later someone is going to come looking for Alex and you don't know what will to happen to him if he gets found out. >On top of that you just cant forget the things he told you tonight. What if these urges he's been feeling get worse? What if he gets to be too dangerous to be around? What would you have to do then?
  275. >and there's those cookies too like the one you stupidly brought back to the room. Are they really responsible for turning Alex into what he is now? Are there more of them out there? Has anyone else been affected by them?
  276. >you get jolted out of your thoughts by a hard tap on the shoulder
  277. >a gruff looking security guard stands over you hands in his hips.
  278. >What are you doing out here kid?
  279. >startled you explain you're just dropping your friend off for class.
  280. >he eyes you closely
  281. >ok then son sorry to bother you. We've hand a string of break ins around campus recently and they have everyone on high alert.
  282. >alarmed you ask if anyone's been hurt
  283. >nah nothong even been stolen so far so admin thinks its just some vandals.
  284. >you thank him for the information. You then get up to go get some food ready for you and Alex after he gets out.
  285. >eventually you get a text from him letting you know he's out. You rush back over to his building finding him crouched down in a dark corner.
  286. >when he sees you his eyes light up and he scampers over to you.
  287. >knowing what to do this time the walk back is slightly easier and you manage to get back to your room before he completely shuts down
  288. >rubbing your now slightly chafed arm you let him know you snuck some food out for him.
  289. >you look up just in time to see Alex run at you pulling you into a big bear hug
  290. thank you I really needed that. Alex says as he holds you tight
  291. >while you're having trouble breathing you can't bring yourself to tell him to stop
  292. >after awhile he realizes he's digging his claws into your back and quickly lets you drop with a nervous chuckle
  293. >dispite being a reptile you know he's blushing under all those scales and teeth
  294. >you take out the leftovers from your pack and clear a spot at your desk.
  295. >the rest of the evening is quiet and peaceful. The two of you chatting back and forth over bites of tuna salad sandwiches.
  296. >by the time you finish the chaos of a few hours ago seem like a distant memory.
  297. >you spend the rest of the night setting up the new mattress in relative silence
  298. >after a bit more cleaning up you and Alex get ready for bed and say goodnight to one another
  299. >something seems strange, you turn over to check your clock and freeze
  300. >Alex is sitting up in his bed staring right at you, his yellow eyes eerily visable in the dark
  301. >you shut your eyes as tightly as you can but images of him bearing down on you fangs barred and claws outstretched fill your imagination.
  302. >you know you're being silly but it seems his outburst had a bigger effect on you than you thought
  303. >you open your eyes. His beds empty
  304. >your whole body tenses up ready to bolt at any moment. You hear his claws on the carpet getting closer and closer finally stopping at the foot of your bed
  305. >time seems to slow to a crawl you can't even bring yourself to turn your head
  306. >.................
  307. >psst hey dude............
  308. >I'm....I'm really cold
  309. you silently motion for him to get into bed with you
  310. >after a few minutes with nothing happening you nervously look up and ask what's going on.
  311. >Alex is still standing there staring an odd expression on his face.
  312. >your question seems to wake him up a little and he happliy slides into bed with you.
  313. >heh sorry about that dude it's just really fun to hide in the shadows and.....
  314. >I....uh...wait what was I saying?
  315. >you groan and tell him to go to sleep
  316. >after a few more minutes he pipes up agian
  317. >psst hey dude are you okay? You're really hot and uh smelly. Oh! Not in like a weird way or anything but like are you sick or something
  318. >in a calm voice you tell Alex you're fine and that if he doesn't go to sleep you're going to turn the heater down to 50 and leave it there for the rest of the night.
  319. >finally after what seems like forever you feel his body relax next to yours and his breaths slow.
  320. >You sigh to yourself as you close your eyes
  321. >Alex is a great guy and you're probably an ass for you're little panic attack tonight
  322. >You know you have nothing to worry about
  323. >..................
  324. >ohfuckyourmidtermstomorrow
  325. You spend the rest if the night in a cold sweat
  326. >the next morning you wake up with your lizard friend passed out on top of you.
  327. >with a grunt you shove him off and crawl out of bed
  328. >ugh..sorry dude Alex says sleepily
  329. >you're just....really warm zzz zzz
  330. >you roll your eyes and get dressed
  331. >your mind starts to race, what the hell are you going to do?
  332. >the test isn't till 7 tonight you you still have time. You reason you can cram during class and at least catch up a little.
  333. >Oh shit 7!?
  334. >you need to help Alex get to night class then!
  335. >you turn on your computer going straight to your schedule.
  336. >phew looks like its the same building, now you just have to find a way to sneak a gaint purple lizard through all those people
  337. The rest of the day goes by in a haze
  338. >you really should spend every second studying but you keep going back to you phone to look at dumb shit and lewd.
  339. >you curse the procrastination genes you got from your dad
  340. >finally class and labs are done with and you head back up to Alex
  341. >its five o'clock you hope you left enough food for his lunch cause you have two hours to make a game plan.
  342. >You run up to your room
  343. >Alex is sitting against the radiator in his underwear studying on his laptop
  344. >you explain to him the situation and he leaps up
  345. >Don't worry dude we got this!
  346. >We can just sneak in around the back way
  347. >He's trying to be good about all this but you can tell he's nervous.
  348. >he hasn't been around virtually anyone expect you the past week and a whole lobby full of annoyed collage students has got to be a stressful idea.
  349. >You nod at him and let out a sigh
  350. >he doesn't need you freaking out right now too
  351. >Alex pulls you into a big hug
  352. >Thanks for thinking about me anon, I honestly don't know what I'd do without you
  353. >a small voice in your head notes that your lizard friends become quite the hugger recently
  354. >you spend the next hour getting ready desperately trying to cram as much as you can as Alex pull his disguise out from the hamper
  355. >you look up and can't help but laugh
  356. >dispite his predatory features Alex looks pretty goofy running around in a pair of boxers
  357. you're as ready as you are ever gonna be
  358. >you close your computer and wait for Alex to finish up
  359. >It was a surprisingly warm day today You didn't even need your big jacket
  360. >still Alex puts on pretty much everything he owns. You guess to him it must still be freezing out there
  361. >once your lizard finishes bundling up you head out together arm in arm .
  362. >even half asleep from cold he seems more steady this time and you manage to make it all the way there without any more emergency heat hugs.
  363. >the entire place is packed you don't even try the front door
  364. >running around the back you notice there's almost no one here
  365. >as you get closer to the door three large shapes wobble out of the shadows
  366. >you stop in your tracks.
  367. >three "things" stand in front of you dressed head to toe in as much winter gear as humanly possible.
  368. >the one in the middle must have at least 5 jackets on, while the one on the right clearly has several wool hats stretched over their head
  369. >you start looking around for someone with a camera, this has to be a joke right?
  370. >They start mumbling something as they slowly move towards you and Alex
  371. >suddenly the one on the right trips and starts rolling down the hill letting out a muffled yelp
  372. >the other two wobble down to help them quickly falling themselves
  373. >You're about to go help when you feel Alex tremble, the weather list finally be getting to him
  374. >You run him inside barely stifling a laugh as you hear on of the goofy trio fall down agian
  375. You drop Alex off at his class he still seems a bit out of it
  376. >looking in its no surprise how he's able to get by here
  377. >there's like 10 people in the room all half asleep
  378. >even the professor looks zonked out
  379. >you head back to the main group in the lobby, you have 10 minutes left and you're gonna waste every second god damn it
  380. >you run into a few of your buddies from around school, they don't even seem to have noticed you've been a shut in the past few nights
  381. >they probably thought you've been studying
  382. >finally its time, you say your goodbyes and head off to your impending doom
  383. >oh god you hate math, oh god why didn't you study, oh god you really hate math
  384. >the next two hours are a blurr of stress and failure, you do what little you know
  385. >still even when you think you're in the grove your train of thought just wanders
  386. >you can't stop thinking about big purple monsters
  387. >which is understandable considering you live with one
  388. >but you doubt your professor would accept that excuse.
  389. >finally its "done"
  390. >you're one of the last to leave
  391. >you know you failed but you don't feel too bad, at least its over
  392. >you wonder if Alex woukd want to try some sushi from town as you go to pick him up
  393. >you notice several muddy jackets laying in a corner
