  5. What is Genius?
  6. Genius is Booking.com's way of saying "thank you" to our most loyal customers. Once you become a Genius, you'll see an extra 10% discount in the price of selected rooms in over 12,000 properties worldwide. With more accommodations being added daily, this means more savings and more choice for loyal guests.

  8. How can I join Genius?
  9. To be eligible for the Genius status, you need to be a regular Booking.com user. We track your stayed bookings, and send an email to the most loyal customers when they become eligible for the Genius discount. The best way to become a Genius quickly is to book frequently, and to use the same email ID to sign in when you make a booking. If you have booked with Booking.com in the past with a different email ID, you can add your different email IDs into your Booking.com account.

  11. How do I know if I am already a Genius?
  12. If you have qualified for Genius status, you'll get a notification when you sign in to your Booking.com account. Also, when you are signed in, you'll see the Genius icon next to your name. When searching for accommodation, you'll see the Genius icon next to select properties in many destinations. All these are clues that you’re a Booking Genius!

  14. I am a Booking Genius but I didn’t get a discount on my recent booking. Why is that?
  15. There are two common reasons for this. The Genius rate is available only for certain rooms at specific properties. A Genius property might have rooms that are not offered at the special rate, and if you’ve booked one of these, you won’t get the Genius discount. Also if you made the reservation without being signed in, you might have missed out on the Genius rates. If you’re not seeing the Genius icons during the reservation process, it’s a sign that you might be missing out on the discount.

  17. How do I know I’m getting a Genius Rate?
  18. Once you pick a property, the rooms that have Genius rates will be clearly labelled with the Genius logo. Remember, not all rooms have the Genius discount. If you’ve chosen the Genius rate for the room you’re booking, this information will be displayed all through the booking process and on your confirmation email as well.

  20. Is the 10% discount refunded to me later?
  21. The Genius rates you see on the Booking.com website already include the 10% savings. We don’t want you to have to wait! When you book a Genius rate, you’re getting the lowest price + the extra savings that come from being a Booking Genius.

  90. Hi, I got recently an advert saying that after 3 more bookings I
  91. would get a genius status for my profile. I've completed 3
  92. booking since, but my status in the right corner still shows that I
  93. have 3 more booking to go in order to be "promoted".
