  1. In the beginning there was only miasma through which not even the sun could pierce. Then, a pocket of miasma free space, like a hole in a black sheet. An endless ocean, with waves continuing past miasma; pouring off the edges of the flat world into the void below. Then it filled with air, forming a sky and clouds. The wind caused parts of the water into cool into ice. Sediment formed on the ice and solidified. The Arctic climate started to warm. Ice combined with the new climate and air, creating thunderclouds from which lightning bellowed. Lightning struck the earth and created fire. From fire and the changing climate light was birthed. Finally, Dark spew from the earth, spreading through the land.

  3. Small continents clashed, broke apart, and reformed again until the land was one massive supercontinent. At its center Mt. Aleph sprung forth, containing the essence of all 8 elements that make up matter. Surrounding Mt. Aleph, 8 smaller plateaus, one of each element. Mt. Aleph erupted breaking apart the supercontinent. Lava flew into the sea. Again, the landmasses clashed and reformed until reaching the current state.
  4.
  5. Miasma began to creep back into the pocket. Single cell organisms evolved, then pre-Cambrian insects and fauna. Eventually, mammals and their monster counterparts. Monkeys around Mt. Aleph evolved into animalistic Neanderthals, who multiplied quickly and spread out until they inevitably reached the other rocks, now located on the edges of the new continent. Pannotia.
  6.
  7. Homo sapien was born when Neanderthals at each of the rocks were born with the ability to use Anima. With anima came higher level intellect and superior body posture. With strength, intellect, and anima Homo Sapien was Apex predator. Being invincible to monsters and Neanderthal alike. They were thus able to multiply, establishing dominance easily. Fleeing like frightened animals, the Neanderthals fled back into more miasma controlled territory at the edges of the map.
  8.
  9. From here, homo sapiens thrived and improved their anima, while at the edges of civilization monsters and Neanderthals fought constantly for shelter and food. The Neanderthals were wiped out. Monsters seeking new prey and food came out from the miasmic reaches. Adapting to the Homo Sapiens and made stronger by their time in the miasma, monsters became able to threaten them.
  10.
  11. Mankind continues to hone its anima, and learns to carve Animic runes on stone. They form a written alphabet. All of antiquity comes after this point. Mankind building their civilizations, ancient, rising and falling as the tide.
