Season 2, Episode 1 of Love Live! Sunshine!! starts off rough on the heels of Aqours not making it into the national Love Live competition, and on top of that it's revealed that Mari's father has decided the school's open house will be cancelled, effectively marking the closing of Uranohoshi. After singing Mirai Ticket at the qualifiers, Chika had started to understand for herself what it meant to shine, and wanted to fight to see it again. However, once Mari revealed the news to Aqours, Chika was heartbroken and refused to accept the decision, stating with the utmost determination and with no ambiguity that she will go to America in order to talk to Mari's father and get him to wait. The pain you can hear through Chika's voice is what really illustrates her desparation, something that wouldn't be possible without Inami Anju's impeccable and strong voice. Anchan's voice brings the pain inside Chika's heart to her words, to the point where I can feel a twinge of her pain in my own heart and tears in my eyes without having to see her face. Despite being talked down from traveling to America by the rest of Aqours, Chika is at a loss of what to do to move forward. However, upon seeing the Uranohoshi students' cranes made to show their support of Aqours and reflecting on her experiences from the qualifiers, Chika decides that she must keep fighting. She ran to the school to declare to the world that "No matter what, I'll make a miracle happen. Until then, I wont cry!" Chika's roar and words carry the feelings and frustrations of Aqours to the audience, and spur Aqours forward in pursuit of their dreams and the chance to shine. The emotion put into her words by Anchan's voice moves mountains, worlds and hearts towards a common dream of finding a way to shine, each in our own special way. It is a call-to-arms, a call to stand up and fight, no matter how tricky or tough the road may be, and that is exactly what Aqours decides to do. To make miracles and dreams into reality and struggle as hard as they can, to search for the radiance that they had glimpsed and make it theirs.

Chika and Anchan have become more than partners, and more than Character and Seiyuu. Throughout Aqours's existence Chika and Anchan have become one, each learning from and leaning on eachother when the going gets tough. At live events if I close my eyes and hear Anchan speak I can see Chika in my mind on the same stage with the rest of Aqours, and when watching the show if I close my eyes I can picture Anchan in the exact same position as Chika. At the center of it all is their voice, a voice that brings light and hope to those who are stuck in the dark, confused, or lost, and and inspires us fans to live in search of a way to shine, just as Aqours has found their way to shine as bright as stars.
