  1. This book in Homer's Odyssey is very relevant to the present. The main theme that could be seen in this book is was about hardwork and dedication. Nowadays, people try finding shortcuts, cut corners or do things in the like to reach their end goal. Some may call it efficiency, but its just pure laziness. Odysseus had to literally go to hell in order to get back home to his family, and Achilles mentioned that he would rather be a slave than rule over the dead. We think that this book serves as a reminder that there is no shrot cut to success, you need to put in the time, dedication and effort in order to reach what your dream or aspire for.
