  1. Dear sir or ma’am,
  2. I am interested joining the team at Hendrick Health System and serving your company alongside its members. As a former US Army Medic with 13 years of service in a variety of medical positions, I am confident in my ability to provide you with good service.
  3. I have served in a variety nursing and nursing-adjacent roles and have held a scope of practice comparable to or exceeding that of many RNs for much of my career before attaining my BSN. I have served in a wide variety of settings, including several hospitals and clinics, and helped a wider variety of clients, and in the course of doing so I have:
  4. • Provided routine and emergency care to members of NATO and Middle Eastern nations.
  5. • Cross-trained with numerous other disciplines of medicine, including Radiology.
  6. • Assisted in surgical settings and performed invasive procedures.
  7. • Led teams in triage and clinic operations.
  8. • Performed duties under periods of high stress, including under enemy fire.
  9. • Trained soldiers, civilians and fellow medics on medical and military matters.
  10. In addition to my medical duties, I have experience with medical administration, medical support services, hazardous material disposal, disaster response procedure, equipment maintenance, and electronic documentation. It was my duty also to train others on each of those topics, for which I’ve received several official and unofficial accolades.
  11. Attached to this letter is a copy of my resume, along with a brief list of references. I hope to continue the tradition of good service you provide the people of our city, and I look forward to speaking with you in the future.
