* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	is lounging on the sofa, watching television. Sara is out on a sneaking mission and Alexis has become too tired out to do anything else for some reason, so has gone for a nap. Ace looks pretty calm and happy. She's still wearing the red dress from earlier.
	* Taro_Sato	quietly walks into the dorms. What little clothing he wears -- shorts, t-shirt, trainers -- are stained heavily with oil. His metal body is similarly stained. "So. Interesting things of late."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	rolls slowly onto her back so she can see him. She grins.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Did you hear what we did?"
	* Taro_Sato	shrugs a little, stopping in the middle of the dorm, staring at Acenath. "Tell me yourself. I might as well make sure I know all of it."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	stands up and potters over to the kitchen.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Did they not install your new digestive parts yet?"
	* Taro_Sato	is silent for a few moments before he responds, cautiously, "I had my monthly maintenance recently. I don't get told when they install or remove anything."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	sight.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	*sighs!
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"I ordered you some better parts so you can eat and other things. I thought you would be happier with them. Would you like something to drink?"
	* Taro_Sato	narrows his eye. "I'll ... pass, for now. Why are you ordering new parts for this body?"
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Because you're always miserable and eating is nice.
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	shrugs.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Anyway. The main thing that we did that will interest you is we got rid of Utts!"
	* Taro_Sato	just gives a quiet hmph to that first part. He looks a bit more interested at the second. "Got rid of?"
	<Taro_Sato>	"What did you do, pay her off?"
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	goes to the fridge and gets some delicious lemonade.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"We used an anti-AT field and put her into unit four to get Alexis out."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	gets two glasses and pours some lemonade into each.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Are you sure you wouldn't like some? This is quite good."
	* Taro_Sato	keeps that eye narrowed. "I'm fine. Still, if you're telling me you just ... destroyed her body, might I ask why this conversation doesn't involve you people in a cell under armed guard?"
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"I paid the security in advance. If they put is back in the brig then we could become *a problem*."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	smirks.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"That's how we phrased it anyway.
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	pulls a chair out and sits at the table.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"How have you been?"
	* Taro_Sato	reaches into a pocket on his shorts and pulls out a dirty cloth, wiping at his metal hands. "Fine. Ignoring the alarms as much as possible whilst trying to fix this useless place."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	looks a little happier when the alarms are mentioned.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"You know I own it now, yes?"
	* Taro_Sato	pauses, raising his eyebrow. "What, this base?"
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	nods.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"And you, technically, as well. But that it something I wanted to talk to you about."
	* Taro_Sato	doesn't move a muscle. Metaphorically speaking. Just stares silently at Acenath.
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	pulls out the char next to her.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Come and sit down."
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	*chair you derp
	* Taro_Sato	frowns with what little of him can. "I'm fine standing. Speak your piece."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	chuckles slightly.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"I don't want to own you. So I am going to give the contract of your ownership to you. So you will own you."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	smiles.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Okay?"
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"You can be your own man."
	* Taro_Sato	remains perfectly still, then ... chuckles. "Oh, I doubt that. Tell me, when I was in the MAGI, did any of you actually see what I was looking at? Or did you just find out later, maybe?"
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	shakes her head.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"No, but I'll have the v-chip and the bomb removed when you recieve the new parts. What did it say?"
	* Taro_Sato	nods, then continues wiping at his hands. "Turns out you were all right all along. When I say 'you' that includes NERV and the UN. Kind of annoying to find out I was wasting my breath all this time."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	leans forward.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"What happened?"
	* Taro_Sato	looks Acenath right in the eyes. "I'm not human. And I mean that in a very literal sense, not some philosophical, semantics sense."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	looks him up and down.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"You're as human as Sara is. I think you qualify."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	pauses.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Do you want some alcohol?"
	* Taro_Sato	shakes his head. "No, no. Not really. Anyway, no, Sara still has more right to being human than me. She at least started out human. I didn't get that."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	doesn't respond, so he can finish explaining.
	* Taro_Sato	chuckles a little again. "Apparently i'm just some experiment. A nice, portable ... MAGI." He shrugs. "A failure, at that. But a MAGI unit. Nice, huh?"
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	mulls this over. She sips her lemonade and stares into space for a moment before looking back at him.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"But you *are* a person."
	* Taro_Sato	shrugs. "Maybe. I hope so. But certainly not human in the slightest." He looks down at his metal body. "Probably don't have a gender either, thinking logically, although I think i'll stick with 'male' for old time's sake."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	stares at Taro's crotch very obviously for a few seconds.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Do you want to have a sex?"
	* Taro_Sato	seems taken aback. "Not with you, certainly."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	sighs.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"No. Not like that. I mean do you want *functional parts*?"
	<Taro_Sato>	"Why, because not having them is such an awful thing?" The sarcasm is unmistakable.
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	looks up at him, half smiling.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"I would miss it."
	* Taro_Sato	sighs quietly. "Well, that's certainly something I needed to hear. So glad I can't throw up. Nonetheless, i'll definitely pass. I don't have a desire, frankly, to be any more human." He seems to just stare into the distance. "Being in that MAGI was ... fascinating."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	tuts.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"I am still giving you digestive system. So what did you learn?"

But hey, you know what they say." He laughs a little, putting the cloth away. "AI is a crapshoot. Always has been."
	<Taro_Sato_>	"That, and that being a /real/ MAGI is absolutely fantastic. All that power, processing and otherwise. All that control."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	slumps onto the table.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"So will this get in the way of you owning yourself somehow?"
	<Taro_Sato_>	"Don't know. Can a laptop get given it's own receipt?"
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	shrugs.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"We could just burn it."
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Do you know what I had to go through to get the deed of your ownership?"
	* Taro_Sato_	laughs a little again. "Oh, my sincere condolences. I'm sure it made a /huge/ dent in your pocket change. I do somewhat wonder what you'd do without all that money behind you."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	laughs too.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"It was less the money, that wasn't a problem."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	doesn't look disappointed at all.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"I agreed to marry Walton in a few years."
	* Taro_Sato_	shrugs. "Do you actually want to?"
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"I don't love him or anything. But getting his money will be nice."
	<Taro_Sato_>	"Then again, it's not like there's any problem." He turns away, just looking around slowly. "And if it was, I can't imagine you'd have any qualms about killing him. Or having him killed, at any rate."
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"I don't actually like to have people killed, it's not something I want to become inured to. Contrary to what people may think of me.
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	smiles menacingly.
	* Taro_Sato_	remains looking away. "Really. So, remind me, how is Utts?"
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"How is she... in what sense? She is trapped in unit four right now."
	<Taro_Sato_>	"Yes. And when you say 'trapped', what exactly do you mean? Just sitting in the entry plug, banging on the hatch?"
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"No. She was reduced to LCL by the anti-AT field and her soul exchanged with Alexis's."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	is pretty flat when she says this.
	<Taro_Sato_>	"Yes. Her soul is trapped inside some kind of biomechanical abomination, presumably forever." He half-turns, just enough to look at Acenath. "So you don't like having people killed, but you're alright with a ... fate worse than death? Interesting look on things."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	is chirpy.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"It was Utts. Do you actually object to her being gone when she installed a bomb in you?"
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Come on. Be glad that she's gone."
	<Taro_Sato_>	"Think about it logically, Acenath. There is a balance. Taking and giving. Equivalent exchange. Utts is in the eva ... so Alexis is not. So now I have to deal with someone who /actually/ tried to kill me rather than just hang the threat over me."
	<Taro_Sato_>	"Explain why I should be happy. Please."
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Alexis has calmed down a lot, you know. He's really nice now."

	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"I don't know. I don't really care either. It is not my problem."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	is eyeing up some bottles on the counter.

	<Taro_Sato_>	"No, I really shouldn't. And i'm going to go check out 04. I can't imagine Utts is exactly a cooperative little helper in there. Might need the core swapped out if it's having issues."

	* Taro_Sato_	looks sharply around at that noise and quickly looks away again. "Definitely going. Don't want to be around for this."

	* Alexis_Zophiel	waves just a bit and stretches some more.

	* Taro_Sato_	snorts, quickly walking away towards the eva pens. "Good day. I'm going to check ... Alexia's unit. Make sure there are no issues."
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	stand up, sort-of following Taro.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"No, wait a second."
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"Alexis isn't going to do anything to you."
	* Taro_Sato_	keeps walking. "If he follows me i'm finding a sidearm."
	* Alexis_Zophiel	just rubs the tip of his nose.
	* Alexis_Zophiel	asks Acenath "What's his deal?"
	* Acenath_Chevalier-Massri	shrugs.
	<Acenath_Chevalier-Massri>	"He just gets angry about things. He would do better on valium."
