  9. Michael Lewis: Yes, I am getting the error "Your activation is still pending. You will receive an email notification once your activation is complete. We’re sorry. There was a problem connecting to the server. Please try again later."
  10. Jewell Hillier: This activation process can take up to 24 hours.
  11. Michael Lewis: however, I have been waiting for hours, and have not received an email
  12. Michael Lewis: it says it can take up to 3 minutes
  13. Michael Lewis: it has been much longer than 3 minutes
  14. Jewell Hillier: There are a lot of activations going on - Are you connecting to I Tunes or Wi-Fi?
  15. Michael Lewis: I am trying both
  16. Jewell Hillier: When you receive a notification that activation is pending - It is trying to go through.
  17. Michael Lewis: Is there anything you can do to help?
  18. Jewell Hillier: Unfortunately,there is nothing we can do - only wait for activations to slow up.

  20. Jewell Hillier: Correct- we are sorry but we cannot push this through- I Tunes is Apple
  21. Michael Lewis: yes, but these are AT&T servers that are having issues

  23. Jewell Hillier: It is the I Tunes activations that are delayed in switch.
  24. Michael Lewis: why aren't verizon iPhones or sprint iphones having this issue then?
  25. Jewell Hillier: I am sorry, I do not know the answer to that

  32. Phil Lewis: Hello Mr. Lewis; I regret there is a delay in activating your phone. I understand your position and certainly you're not the only customer to have voiced this same frustration. Unfortunately; due to the volume of customers activating the phone today it appears Apple is having difficulty handling them all without some delay.
  33. Michael Lewis: Thanks, but it seems like the problem is with AT&T's servers, not apple's. My colleagues are not having activation issues for their new Verizon or Sprint phones. This would imply that the issues are with AT&T, not Apple or iTunes.
  34. Phil Lewis: I understand how it would seem that way but the activation process is facilitated through Apple. At this point; everything is still running correctly in terms of the activations but due to the volume of customers there is a dealy.
