- >Somewhere in Canterlot, a white unicorn with a pastel green mane sat in a small coffee shop.
- >Truthfully, it was probably too small of a coffee shop what with the bulky, green hunks of armour Grease Pan called legs.
- >She probably looked ridiculous hunched over at such a small table, but she didn't care.
- >It was the best place in the city to get a cup of something that didn't taste like liquid paper.
- >She took a sip of her coffee, continuing to read up on the latest news before her ears swiveled, catching a sharp gasp.
- >Pan looked, and to her side another unicorn mare was staring at her with an expression one might wear while bearing witness to a train filled with puppies crashing into a nursing home, but it quickly became unreadable the moment she realized she was being looked at.
- >She brushed her elegantly styled purple mane up with a metal hoof quickly and approached.
- >As she did, Pan realized she had chrome of her own.
- >Her entire rear and foreleg on her right side were replaced with sleek metal.
- >The augment reached all the way up her flank, seeming to continue up her spine afterwards before dipping back down to connect with her right shoulder.
- >Unlike her own, the mares augments were fine and intricate.
- >Not much bigger then a real leg might be.
- >Definitely newer and far different then her own.
- >The mare sat down next to Pan and flashed her a smile.
- >"I'm terribly sorry if I startled you, I just couldn't help but notice your...interesting augments." She said, her smile fading just a little.
- "Oh, you like them? You should see them in action." Grease Pan said, lifting a hoof and showing it off.
- >"You could say that." The purple-maned mare said as she eyed the olive green appendage with a slight cringe. "Are they full replacement?"
- "'Course. If I just to look metal I'd wear armour."
- >The other mare nodded in satisfaction.
- >"I couldn't agree more. That being said, have you ever thought about giving them a new look?" She asked, raising a chromed hoof of her own.
- >Pan raised an eyebrow and scoffed.
- "What, like those things? Sure, their shiny and all, but they hardly look like I'd get as much use out of them as I do out of mine." She said, flexing her cybernetic leg.
- >The other mare sputtered for a second. "Surely they could be made just a tad smaller! Modern technology allows for function in much smaller packages then that." She said putting a hoof accusingly at Pan's leg.
- >Pan squinted at the purple-maned mare.
- "At least my augs don't look like a chromed toaster that got stripped for parts."
- >The mare stood from her seat, fire in her eyes. "Well at least my augments don't look like they were stripped from a forklift!"
- >Pan stood as well.
- >If she had been sitting in a chair, she would have knocked it over.
- "You new-blood cyborgs all think nano-augs are such luxury. You're sacrificing durability for looks! You might as well get a flash-cloned replacement at that point!"
- Pan growled with a dangerous look in her eye.
- >"I assure you, my augments are *quite* durable." The purple-maned growled, matching Pan's look of challenge.
- >Pan took a single step forwards before a loud 'Ahem!' drew her attention.
- >Both mares looked to the side to see the stallion behind the counter reaching for something below it in an obvious motion of 'get the fuck out or else'.
- >The purple maned mare let out a nervous chuckle and nodded in understanding. "M-My apologies, we were merely having a uhm, friendly discussion?" She tried, looking to Pan.
- "Right. Friendly discussion."
